Some of the comments in these forums makes me smile.
I have two bunches of day lillies in a vase on my kitchen table. They are absolutely stunning and bring a smile to my face everytime I walk past them.

8 days left until summer vacation! (Ok, that's kind of a big thing)
- Yay! Yes it is HUGE ! Woo Hoo--school's almost out for you.
Boo Hoo--School is already out for J and he is home now ALL SUMMER ! !
But, now he tells me he wants to go to school all week while the other kids review just to hang out!!!! WEIRD!

Sweet SleepI hadn't seen HomeGirl's post before I decided to post here (honest); but something that first made me out-and-out laugh when I first heard it, and now is kind of making me smile, is a commercial I heard for the first time on TV about some gadget that takes pictures. Their "line" has something to do with adding yet more cats to the Internet.
(That whole thing about cat pictures on the Internet just makes me smile/laugh - and I don't even have a cat these days. )Hugs and kisses from my children at the end of a long day....
Our dogs jumping in the air and wagging their tails ferociously because they're happy I'm home

Its worth cleaning the mess for the picture though That's Lilith--my youngest, btw, I am saying this only to brag. My genes somehow made something that beautiful.She sure is a cutie!
As a grandfather I can sit back and watch the inventive ways they put food in anything including stuffing it in their pockets and just enjoy it!
The older twin found a new way to show a plate empty of a vegetable she didn't like.
She stuffed them down her trousers stood up and said very politely. "Granpa may I be excused from the table?"
then went to the bathroom and emptied the vegies in the bin while pretending to need the toilet.
I just finished making breakfast for three little ones, so I am still smiling inwardly from the funny things they said.
Little people make me smile.No doubt - little kids are among the biggest causes of smiles. Since they've been covered here, though; another smile-producer for me (and this one is really dumb, I know), is that "classic" - dogs sticking their heads out of car windows. I don't know why something as mundane (and common) still makes me smile, but it does.
That one always gets me smiling too, especially if the tongue is out.
