            Well, it seems that he was self-promoting with the forum about his hub for women of HP, but I've never seen where he actually verified that.

                  More than a "bit", I would say.
                  
                  I didn't really understand the self promotion thing, either.  He asked for women hubbers that would be interested in being featured in a hub we was going to write - just as lots of hubbers ask for information to include in a new upcoming hub.

                     Not that I know more than any one else who read the different threads started on this topic, but I would hate to see the facts obscured by speculation. According to our friend, Cagsil was hit with a 30-day ban from the forums and he offers his explanation in his latest hub. It seems his post (http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/91353#post1948929) was declared more self-promotional than he may have intended it to be. Most of the other greeters referred the new hubber to the learning center, but Cags only directed him to his own articles.  However, he added an anonymous endorsement of his own hubs.
                     I am sorry to see it happen to Cags. We will miss him, but he will be back and we will all be here to greet him.

                        No, it is a 3 month ban, for sure. I know this from Cagsil himself.
                        
                        I think it is also relevant to mention he followed up the 'must reads' comment with this smiley    so inferring he was taking the mickey out of himself or being humorously sarcastic. It was clearly not intended as self promotion, only an offer of help with a little humour thrown in.

                        I have noticed he's been promoting a lot more in general esp about his hubs on fb about the world and peace and alll that stuff.
                        Seems he's worried Lol about that and is working like crazy.
                        In fact he's not really talking to me much anymore unless it's something important, he's distant which sux cause I usually enjoy our chatty conversations when they happen
                        
                        But we all have to do what we go to do. God knows I got crap to do too.

      He is only banned from the forums, not from Hubpages Gma, so he can still write Hubs without a problem
