   Have you ever or would you go to the movies alone?
   
   Very few people seem to go by themselves in the US. What are your thoughts about this?

   No, never went to the movies by myself and I probably wouldn't ever go by myself because it's more of a group type activity for me.

   I dislike going places myself. I don't see anything wrong with getting to spend some time with yourself though.

   Yes I have, I would do it again. Sometimes it is nice to take time alone. Movies are not usually my first choice but occasionally it is nice to have the focus.

   I live in Canada.  I love movies!  If I want to go to the movies and no one wants to come with me, I just go by myself.

   I've done it many times, especially when I get tired of trying to coordinate schedules. Most enjoyable.

   Hello Puddingicecream, Yes, I've went to the movies alone and enjoyed it. That was within the last 2 years, not too long ago and now, it's a drag to go because of all the people who are inconsiderate w/ the noise they cause. I don't enjoy going to the movie theatre anymore and DON'T. That's easy. Put my energy in other positive directions. Not in directions that bring irritation and discomfort.
   
   Many people do the buddy system, when going to the movies and it's a good thing family's do together.

   I live in the U.S. and I go by myself at least a few times a year now.  I used to never do it, but I don't care anymore.  At least that way none of your friends are whispering and making you miss part of the movie.  Also, I like to save money by going in the morning and most of my friends are not morning people.

    yes, i do that all the time. Sometimes you really need to distress and pamper yourself with no one around you. Being alone sometimes is a good thing to do.

    It is not my favorite thing to do, there is something comforting about sharring your views, thoughts, etc., with someone else when you've both seen the same movie. I will go see a romantic movie alone if I have to, but  I definately will not go see a scarry movie alone!

    Yes, I have gone to the movie theater several times by myself.  I love it,  it is very relaxing.

    There's nothing wrong with going for movies alone? I've gone alone so many times, and I enjoyed my time there, I would definitely love to do it again, if I don't have a choice.
