I have a group over at Facebook with over 230 people so far who think that I would be ideal as the next Dr Who!

Oh yes! And I could be your assistant. smile

Absolutely, it's high time the doctor had a new lease of life.  How are you with one-liners and straight-faced, pseudo-scientific explanations?  And more importantly who would you pick to be your assistant???

I think you'd make a much better one than the new Doctor who's about to take over.  In my mind, no Doctor Who should ever be younger-looking than the Tom Baker version.

Well, I have just watched the first episode of the new Dr Who and - despite being a huge David Tennant fan - I have to say that Matt Smith is going to make a brilliant new Doctor! He was great! smile

Has anyone else seen him yet? Do you agree?!

        Bummer!

And yes Bard, you can have my vote too!

It started today in the UK - but I think it starts in a couple of weeks in the US? smile

The original Dr. Who did come from the UK programming. However, it was also a series on TV in the U.S. for a number of years, until recently a remake of the older series has been done.

The NEW Dr. Who isn't worth watching. The Older version was great.

Thanks for your votes of confidence in me, kingbyname and Marisa!
Yes, I would be fine with explanations and one-liners but there is already a queue forming for assistants!

Deffinatly! You have a quirkier look than any of the others by far. Though the one with the pocket celery would be your toughest competition to outdo. Got anything wackier in mind? wink

Thank you everyone for keeping this thread going! I admit I had forgotten all about it. We wanna-be doctors are kept very busy! lol

It doesn't matter about the age of the Doctor in the new series as I'm sure they will aim for a five doctors story once they have 5 doctors in the can, at the moment they only have 3 of the new ones, but hey that will be cool, Bard could be the 4th and I could be the 5th.
