Wow you're good!!! I couldn't agree with you more. It is funny you should say that about treating each child as an individual and ensuring their needs are met because that is one of my biggest things. I have four of my own children and during my day care hours my children don't get or expect to get special treatment. That is something else I hold onto as very important, any one who runs daycare who have their own children shouldn't ever treat their kids better than the children they keep. i know of some people who run in home daycare who are mothers and they treat their own kids better than the ones they are providing daycare to.(example: she will allow her kids to eat mcdonald's for lunch while the other kids have to each what she fixes)
I also keep up to date on state laws, cpr certification etc. these are also very important when running an in home daycare. I am not licensed as it is not a requirement however even being not licensed we are still required to follow laws set for those who do not get licensed, and I make sure I do just that, in fact CPR certification is not one however being a mother, I wouldn't feel right not being CPR certified while taking care of other peoples children so I do go above and beyond.
Thank you for your input the more the merrier!! :)
