For me, yes it does.  My body has bad reactions to gluten and since I have removed it from my diet I have less health problems and definitely more energy.  Simply removing gluten however is not enough.  Most people eat WAY too many refined carbohydrates which lead to cravings, crashes, etc.  The unfortunate issue many with Celiac or gluten intolerance face is that the flours we use are highly refined in many instances and very calorie dense.  I have done MUCH better by severely restricting flour at all - even of the gluten free variety.  I stick to whole grains like quinoa, wild rice, brown rice, and gluten free whole oats to get my necessary carbs and that is what gives me amazing energy - well that and exercise smile

It really depends on how you choose to live a gluten free lifestyle and why.  If you're gluten intolerant, then giving up gluten will help your gut to heal and inherently (as you begin to absorb more nutrients) you will feel more energetic, and healthier overall.  If you are seeking gluten free as a way to 'get healthy', though, going gluten free is just one small step.  You need to make healthy choices...choose foods that are naturally gluten free (fresh produce, dry or canned beans, whole grains) rather than gluten free convenience foods.  You'll feel more energetic...and it'll cost less too (which might help with debt induced depression)

Adjusting to living gluten free, has been an exciting, interesting, and challenging, experience for me. It actually means, being able to walk and function on a daily basis. Gluten is responsible for several health ailments.  Many symptoms are misdiagnosed and are left untreated. By making healthy food choices, along with the combination of exercise, and stress management, our bodies have the amazing ability to heal themselves. After choosing to live a gluten free life style, my energy level has increased ten fold! The key word being ,"life style". A combination of eating a healthy diet, exercise and managing stress, can make a tremendous impact on anyone! Especially, those looking to increase their energy level. Being on a gluten free diet, the most frequent question I'm asked is, "How can you afford to eat like that?" For me I can't afford  NOT to eat healthy. Through my challenges I have learned some useful tips. One of the simple ways to keep costs down, is by cooking more then what is needed for a meal so that you can utilize left-overs.

I am gluten intolerance. I found out junior year of college. And as soon as I cut gluten out of my diet I noticed a huge change in my health and mood. I did feel like I gained more energy and did not feel sluggish or sick. But at first it did cause a lot of stress because I had no idea gluten was in almost everything.  Being gluten free in Alaska is much harder financially than in California. A lot of things in Alaska is more expensive. But I did manage to budget my finances and made sure I put more into my healthy gluten free diet and cut out other costs of things.
