As a child, did you take off the crust from your bread?
I never did. My mom told me all the nutrients were in the crust.
No, never took the crust off. On a good bread, this is the best part.
No, absolutely not. I was raised to think of wasting food as an immoral thing, and I believe it is utterly disgusting to waste food to this day. Americans are the sorriest lot of food wasters on the planet, and it bothers me to no end.
Yes, I would eat around the crust if possible like so many kids. I outgrew it though and love the crust.
Great question. Of course, my mom took the crust off the bread. Especially with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
my mom used to remove the crust of the bread when i was young because I won't eat the rough part. My son is doing the same thing. He refused to eat the bread unless i remove the crust. He loves the soft white bread.
yes i used to take the sides off my bread when I was a child. In fact I still do take the crusts off my bread. My dear mother tells me that if I continue to take the edges off my bread god will take the edges off me......
No. I ate around the crust. Taking off the edges would have taken up more time.
jaydawg, I have to disagree with you. The question was about removing crusts from bread. That's distinctly different from eating around them. I say that because I used to do what Iburmaster used to do.
I didn't exactly remove the crusts from the bread, but I definitely didn't eat them. I thought they were hard and nasty, and I really didn't like them at all.
As previously stated, and as noted in your comment. The "blanket" question is about "removal" of the crust. Eating "around" counts as the same thing. The fact that if my question was isolating the crust from the bread is the same theory.
I am an adult and sometimes I still remove the crust. If I am eating a hot dog and it is not bun size, I will also remove any excess bread surrounding the hot dog. Which is funny, I do not know if it is a habit or what because I LOVE bread!
Definitely did, and I still do! Is it a bad thing? I'm not sure really.

Do you think doing too much for a guy in a relationship, turns him off?A friend told me that doing too much for a guy, his laundry, cooking, shopping, especially in a new relationship, can turn a guy off. She said the more he does for himself makes him feel better. Do you agree?

Is it physically possible that when one person looks at a green apple, they see the apple as blue but call the apple green due to being taught that way as a child - do we all see the colour green or any colour as the same thing?

The Republicans will not get away with this "Better off than four years ago" business. They already said that they will do anything to bring down the government and the first Black president. Apparently, they were prepared to destroy our nation in the process. For the most recent ...
