Looks pretty similar to my family recipe too. The only things different are we don't use wine or oregano, and do use bay leaves (removed after cooking).

Your Aunt was a wise woman. I've never used a bay leaf but I know plenty of people who do. I'll try it next time. Lots of fresh basil and parsley make a world of difference. I just use a touch of oregano.
