You know I look around me, I see the blind, crippled, mentally handicapped, those very less fortunate than myself indeed, and it reminds me how lucky I am to be born the way I was. I feel so sorry for these people, yet still so many of them have adjusted or don't know any different, and are happy in life.
I am happy to be me, to walk, talk, see the beauty of the rainbow in the sky, to have my whole arms and fingers to embrace the ones I love. To hear the sweet sound of a wonderous song, to run in the fields of daffodils.
Let angels nurture those who are not able to do so.
I've been skipping this thread since it's been up, but after having a terrible ear ache for the last three days (and finally having it stop), I'm in the mood to think about "happy".
Being with my kids, of course.
Flowers.
Music.
Laughing with a friend.
Having coffee alone, or with a friend, at an outdoor table.
A certain type of Spring or Summer air (usually mornings or nights - seldom afternoons, unless it's raining).
This one's far from original, but mauve sunsets and sunrises.
A new tech gadget, preferably one that I like the looks of.
The ocean.
Usually, writing.
Breakfast out.
My own coffee when I get it right.
A big lump of money (sorry, but it's true - although, in fairness to me, it's low on the list )
Oh, and not having an ear infection or other incredibly miserable health issue.
It makes me happy when I see people doing something nice for someone else, just because they want to.
It makes me happy to hear my kids in their room carrying on a 'pretend' adult conversation-it also makes me happy when they say, "I Love You Mamma".
It makes me happy when my husband walks through the front door-and puts his arms around me and hugs me for at least 30sec-and before he lets go-kisses me on the forehead and says I love you.
I get ECSTATIC when my husband says, "don't worry about the kids I will change diapers, give baths, make dinner, feed kids-rebath them and put them to bed before I prepare all thier stuff for tomorrow" while he mainains a caring sincere smile...
Oh wait----I am having a hallucination, haha , but I guess with all that said, a great hallucination can make me pretty happy
Oh H.C I too want this so badly. You are such a lucky blessed woman to have a guy like this.

Music videos, chocolate, a good book, a lovely poem, the perfect sunset, creating something, puppies, kitties, rats, rodents in general oh my! Most of all, though, getting to embrace and kiss K@ri.
Ixxy that is the cutest thing I have seen for some time! Fantastic!
I think I saw that critter on Caddyshack!
oh definitely sex makes me happy. and i think it goes for everybody too?
great books, yummy food, good friends, loved ones, happy talks, not being sick, just enough money, nice clothes, happy family...
Prawns, prawns, prawns. Mind you I am impartial to a great big fresh crab claw and not afraid to let the succulent juice run down my chin. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......If only Peter Pan could have such happy thoughts.
nature, witnessing nature each morning as I sip my morning coffee or tea makes me grateful to witness it and move about it
I'm happy to see BP is feeling better and back in the forums!
Because they are lots more fun when she is here!
Not sure what that is lxxy....but it's pretty cute!
Happy = everything
I'm easy to please.
MYSELF IS WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY:)
DOING RIGHT THINGS
DECIDING GOOD DECISIONS
STAYING MOTIVATED
BEING AROUND FAMILY, FRIENDS.
GOING TO THE WATER
WALKING
GOING OUT TO EAT
WATCHING A GOOD MOVIE
COOKING
SMILING, LAUGHING -A LOT...
GETTING ALONG WITH PEOPLE
KNOWING GOD IS THERE!!!
being in the ocean
standing beneath big/old trees
watching little kids play
being inspired by a book or another person
breathing deep
squinting trying to watch the sunset
heating yourself up after being cold
cooling yourself off after being hot
looking out the window of a train/plane
listening to loud music
and the list could go on because there are infinite things to make someone happy. even the simplest things.
hapieness is a very funny thing. If it is even a thing. I feel that sometimes we trick ourselves into being happy and other times we simply reach a state of happieness. The seacond obviously being better for mental health pourpouses. Like going for a run makes me happy but only when the run is over. But arent the endorphines just making me Happy because their almost acting as an opiate? I feel like my own body is tricking me into a state of happieness. Lets face it most of life is just suffering. Happieness like the chemicals are brain releases are just temporary states of beings. Sorry if i sound cynical.
I do feel happy when people around me are happy and smiling.. But I feel happier and ROFL watching matt harding dance
My family is the first to come in the list, followed by friends, work, and travel. My daughter never fails to make me happy, just that smile on her face is just the best after all the stress you've been through after a long day at work :-)

I'm a musician and know the power and value of music. I'm curious what people find emotional in music (and looking for trends for a paper I'm going to write). It's very simple - post the name of a piece of music that moves you to tears, causes a lump in your throat or affects you emotionally. For...

What makes you happy?Although perhaps a cheesy question, if you search for it online you are likely to find "having a baby" or "getting married" but little else. These can be things that currently make you happy, things you think will make you happy one day if you get them,...
