With so much to complain about and negative comments in the forums, i thought we could try to change the mindset a bit and have people post what makes them happy.
happiness is  a state of mind,no matter what the circumstances are.
Seeing a beautiful sunset, is one thing that makes me happy.
    how about you?

A nice sunny warm weather with no flies or beetles about; less transport on the roads - some days it's really nice using the public transport and I feel really happy when I get home, relaxed and feeling I've journeyed home in one piece.  Reading hubbers' hubs - the majority of hubs are extremely useful and informative.

I was thinking of this yesterday.. a good vibes thread.

I think happiness comes from within, how we see our world, our lives. [I wonder sometimes if people want to be happy.. there is so much unhappiness in the world.]

Today, the rainy morning is beautiful, watching a ladybug on a leaf, accomplishing a simple goal for the morning.. smile

Relating to people in a positive manner and what really makes me happy, is bringing a smile to someone's face.

Laughing babies, hugs, waking up to sunshine and not an alarm clock, the sound of waves hitting a beach (ocean or lake, either way), coming home at the end of the work day, and surprising my husband.  Those all do it for me. smile

Hearing from my sons and talking for ages about trivial to serious stuff!
Laughing with family members over nostalgic memories.

People being kind to one another.
Strangers stopping to chat or pay a compliment.

    Good coffee-Good chocolate,.

A flavorful greasy hot burger ,after shopping and finding pants that fit lol

    Freshly laundered sheets..hmm..snuggly and clean.

    A good nights sleep.

    Laughter. Friends. Spring. Curious animals.

    Hubby in a positive mood.

    Unexpected good news.

Rebekah, I think Daniel thinks those are lasting, poor fella! Your first comment helped me back on track tonight, though; thanks. In fact, think I'll quit drop out and start hubbing. I can vent because this question's so on target, and answers provoking! Knew there was a reason I hit the Hangout. Now, will somebody tell me where the bar is? Kidding. Our differences as to what makes us happy is one reason we're all here!

The thread caught my eye this morning because I was thinking of this happiness topic yesterday while reading. I think often that humans make happiness unattainable, or some sort of pursuit, a gleaming dream in the distance. I had to go back to read my initial post, yes.. I'm glad it helped. I also wrote about it in one of my hubs a while ago.  Enjoy your writing. smile

I love waking up on the mornings that my husband doesn't have to go to work, and knowing we have the whole day ahead of us to be together...

I love my kids and grandkids soooo much, but I also love that we're done with the child-rearing stage of life, and can now focus on US!!!  It's really a special time of life for Tom and I... smile

I love that warm feeling you get when you publish a hub, wake up the next day, and to find out someone's left you a sweet comment.

It's what got me interested in Hubpages, my goal is to strive for a wide readership.

    I love my readers!

Regarding life in general: when I can provide something positive, that is also intangible or abstract, for someone I care about.

Regarding Hubpages: when I'm on the forums and can unite people around a common idea or purpose amidst the endless postings that smell of abuse and insults.
