   walking in the rain, driving in the sun, writing, cooking,
   when my kids say they love me, finishing the laundry, disco balls
   mexican food,pulling weeds in the garden, cicadas, the smell of a field on a hot summer day,  good coffee, Lynrd Skynrd, seeing other people randomly fall up stairs, bonfires, crickets, the sound of frogs at night in the spring, a cold glass of Guinness, Wii sports, the sound of my husband when he laughs when something is truly funny, life in general.....

    Getting on a freeway and knowing I'll be on it for at least a 1000 miles   That's probably my favorite way of getting happy, or it is once I get beyond the northeast
    
    Making travel plans -- the planning itself makes me happy (sort of ridiculously so), but the trips are great too!
    
    The beach, the ocean, a really cold Bass ale, my annual pass at Disney World, walking the streets of London, lunch at Harvey Nichols, visiting my friends, having the dog snuggled up beside me

    Paychecks don't make one happy... money is material and only allows someone a resource for acquiring other material needed to live or to allow them the means to acquire things they believe they are entitled to. Possessions are traps...

    Here are a few things that make us happy:
    Our husbands, our children, Tricia's grandchildren, our cats, talking to each other.  Also Pilates, chocolate, those nice biscuits with lemon that Tricia buys sometimes, driving in Pat's Mini, hula hooping and laughing.
    Tricia says sailing.  Pat says NOT sailing.
    Good health.
    Bargains.
    Sunshine and walking on our beach.
    Rejoicing in the good things that are send our way and coping with the rest.
