I have been informed that my account if 'temporarily limited'.  I click into my pay pal account and they ask to verify my details but they only got a American box there where I can't put my English details in.  I tried but it always kick me out.

    Any help?

When you say you "click in" to your Paypal account do you mean from an email that you received?

If so this is probably a SCAM and you should not click on it!

Go to PayPal by typing paypal.com into your browser! Then check your account.

NEVER Click a PayPal link from an email - it is one of the oldest scams on the Web - a hacker emails random people with a realistic looking message, but when they click on it you go to THEIR website and they steal your info...

Glad you remind me! Recently, I have got those email from paypal that say my account going to expire but when I checked the expiration date it is not true. So I am very careful not to open anything from email. I always go to paypal.com to check.

Thank you Edwardo, for giving me that advise.  I did just that and I got  a reply and it seemed to be resolved.  Hopefully, forever.  What a waste of time for everyone concerned.

        Precious to the above.
No I didn't click on the email because they always bar you when you try to reply to their email which is a nuisance..I went to paypal account and looked and was clicking out trying to get a contact.

Do not use "paypal.com" alone, always put the "https://www." in front of it, the "s" insures it is a secure connection.

No I am living in England and can't put the English address and thei SSN in.  The trouble is that you can't email them either.  There is a CONTACT US but it doesn't get you anywhere.

      Thank you for replying.

I have a US PayPal account and a UK PayPal account and PayPal have just put a hold on my UK PayPal account because I moved money from one account to another and they are "trying to stop money laundering". I think they are just tightening up on moving money internationally.

        Have you tried www.paypal.co.uk?

If you have a US paypal account you can't change the address to being a UK address (Like you can with regular banks) you have to open a new paypal account.

They're limiting Asians for reasons something like participating in :

    HYIPS
    PTC
    Forex Games
    Casino
    Payment processing exchanges.

If you're not involved in this or never got any dispute with buyer or seller then you need to email them your personal information plus get verified by credit card and PAN card(Social security number).

Thank you for replying.  No I haven't been involved with any of these.  Have you got an email address?

You need to login to paypal in order to contact them from contact us page.

You can go to "contact us" page and from there you can contact them from the interface they provided. I suggest you to check "Resolution center" page of paypal.

They are not limiting just Asians or folks from other countries. They are limiting a lot of people, including freelancers, for doing nothing more than changing their address. Most of the writers at DS are up in arms over it, as several of them have had this same problem.

Thank you, Irohner, for replying.  What are they think they doing?  I don't mind ferifying but then they should put the English form there.  They put the American form which doesn't add with our address.

Honestly, the folks that I know of at DS have been questioned about money laundering by PayPal (some new set of laws or something), because they provide services, not goods. Long story. But the folks at DS are pressing mgmt for an alternative payment method because of the rash of 180-day holds. It seems to be set off when you change anything on your account, like your address.

I have a Business Paypal account I've had for years since I sell leather jackets with their checkout function.

Never had too many problems, but be careful if you get a Paypal debit card. I've had to get FOUR new ones because of bogus charges on them.

I am convinced that Paypal's own employees steal paypal debit card numbers and charge fake charges on them.

I get those all the time.  I couldn't even count how many times I've gotten them.  Do nothing.  If you want to check to make sure all is OK in your PayPal count close the browser window completely, and "start clean", logging in the usual way.   Really - a week doesn't go by when I don't either get that one or else one for one of my regular bank accounts.

PayPal and banks have a way at their site to "report phishing scam".  They ask you to forward the e.mail to an address they give.  You may even want to use a different browser (if you have one).

Emails from ebay and paypal that look like scams should be sent to: spoof@paypal or ebay. If it's a real email they will let you know.
