ya they are together..in my society divorces are rare...arrange marriage are still norms but love marriages are rising...how do i feel?..i still would have preferred my mother to have completed her studies..she was great in it..but social pressures didnt allow her to do that..they are great parents though and  the kind of love , sacrifices they have done for us..i am lucky to have such parents...

I love remembering my first date because of my youth and innocence and that is about the last time I can remember that I had both!  The boy who took me out was a very nice, very sweet boy whose parents were eager for him to date me, for some reason I cannot fathom, maybe to prove his masculinity!  We were both 13 and he had just moved to town.  His dad drove us to dinner and a movie in their very nice car and we were so shy it was painful!  But cute.  Wish I had pictures.  I think the movie was of James Bond - don't remember which one.

that's the way I remember it, but my memory has been rather sketchy lately!  so maybe we went to a Methodist Youth Fellowship dance instead!  probably.

but then I didn't get to have another date until I was 15 l/2 and it was awful! so then I went steady with a guy who was 2 years older and when he went to college I was stuck at home - not dating other people, right - and that was one of the more stupid things I've ever done.  I'd like to tell kids that most of the time the people they date in high school will be out of their lives by the time they're 19 and they will be grateful! so act accordingly.

    Mine was a blind date

although I already knew she was a bit older than me) (isn't that every hetero teenage boy's dream?) because we had exchanged through letters after I responded to her dating ad in the local paper.

I waited at the bus station

I told her what I'd be wearing Idescribed my look too

I was almost bursting with excitement
    and then she appeared

    Mother?! oh my god

I was nine years old this was not my best day.
