I guess I should be flattered. This site stole my article on the Olympic Torch.
I'm sending a fax and DMCA complaint to AdSense tomorrow.
Check here to see if they have stolen anything from you:

Since it is in Chinese it's a bit difficult. They are saying on the main page title: New English materials for free.
It might be a good idea to contact the website owner first, as this is often the quickest and easiest way to deal with this kind of problem.
I have caught people stealing content before and after emailing the site owner the content was quickly removed. I even ended up with a nice link from one of them.
Although being that it is in Chinese, I don't know how this will work.

Not sure what a "head hair" is, but I guess it means Google Translate still needs some work...
SOMEONE STOLE MY POEM....I had posted in online before and now when I put it on a hub it says that the content is on other sites. I did some research and found that two girls have used it online and posted it as their own but changed it to fit their need. I am so upset and I feel so used. That was my heartfelt feelings I wrote. What can I do?
At least, in a sense, you should feel flattered. People don't pirate trash. Your poem must have been great! Also, if you go to the help tab above, I think there's some info about how you can use Hub Pages to copyright your material.
thanks Benjimester
but thats how I found out that the poem was stolen. I went to publish the poem on here last night. I kept it for many years. I had published it on a blog a long time ago and forgot about it. Then when I put it on my hub last night I received a notice from HUBPAGES saying my content was on other sites. Then I researched it and sure enough, two different people posted the poem as their own. I am flattered but in a sense I am hurt. That was my feelings I felt so intense and it was stolen from me.
You guys are so lucky you found out your stuff was stolen! I mean what are the chances, really? How did you guys figure out who had your stuff? How did you search?
Like jjrubio said, you can search google for a sentence or two of your content, making sure to use quotes around the words. You probably won't find most of the people who are copying your content, but you will find people who steal it and get it indexed by google.
I try to make an effort to do this to most of my content.
Hi,
I've recently answered this question on another post.
See http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/11839#post133249
regards, Eric G.
I typed in the first few lines of my poem and the Google crawler matched it to two different websites. I would have never known if Hubpages hadn't flagged my poem. What is sad is that I decided to take my poem down until I figure this mess out. and its not fair because it was mine. But can you beleive it? Its crazy!
The copyright symbol showed up on my account page and said it might be stolen and gave the website.

On a site call "Rewarder" I found the text from a Hub of mine just copied and pasted in as an answer with no link...does this qualify as infringement since it's being used as an answer on one of these types of sites or is this a different beast? It does say at the beginning "by...

I realized today that one of my hubs has been copied and re-published on two different websites. I was looking at my Google Analytics and noticed someone had searched on a complete sentence or two from one of my hubs. When I searched the sentence on Google myself I saw the other websites that...

What do you suggest...Someone copied my article off my Hub page, posted it elsewhere, and did not give me credit for having writen it but rather presented it as his own.

Given all the time spend world wide worrying about Panda and Google's poor quality and duplicate content comments, what the hell does this post from GOOGLE themselves mean. Talk about contradictory!http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot. … apers.html

If you are seeing a drop in traffic, start checking for more stolen content. After seeing a nice surge in traffic following the latest Panda thing, I suddenly tanked. Stats were not updated quickly, so it took me a bit to realize I was indeed seeing a 'trend.' Sure enough - there...
