I know you will not agree ... neverthe less, the suggestion ... if you have sufficient cash, and time ... why not explore the Infinite ... thats you.

How much time do you have?  A round-the-world ticket isn't that expensive, if you have the time.

If you can only manage one destination, I'd love to say Australia - but to get the most bang for your buck, you need to be somewhere you can be exposed to many different cultures in a small area.  So Europe is the only sensible destination, because you can see several different countries in the space of a week or two.

I know coach trips sound cheesy, but if you don't speak any European languages, they're the least stressful way to see places.  Pick one that spends two or three days in each city so you don't feel rushed.  You'll come back with a different perspective on the world.

Id go somewhere easy to travel first, check travel warnings and go somewhere safe.

Are you looking for adventure, style, luxury or just a beach holiday.

How much money do you wish to spend and how far do you want to travel.

Are you up to an adventure? Like cross country skiing in Siberia, or are you looking for an easy start to travel and maybe hawaii or Britain. France is fun too. So many places....

        Theres always Morocco!

May I suggest Prague? It's cheap and there is so much to see. The people are terrific. I would love to live there myself.

I went on a trip through New Zealand and Australia over two weeks. It was quite an amazing trip! It was through a program though, so everything was planned out for us, which I think made it a lot easier to enjoy. Worst part was the plane ride! I'll never forget that trip!

I invite you to visit my country, the Philippines, in Asia. You'll surely enjoy the hospitality of Filipinos. Go Cebu and enjoy the beach, or to Boracay- a tourist favorite spot. From here you can go to other many beautiful places. Welcome and Mabuhay!

A beautiful small country in SE Asia - Laos. Beautiful place, beautiful people, wonderful food. There is still a French influence from colonial times which can be detected in the food, and some Laotians still speak French. If you want a place where you can soak up a new culture and even disappear for a while I highly recommend Vientiane, Laos' capital city...

If you have never been outside the country before, it can be intimidating the first time. The Caribbean is a good place to start, especially with a cruise. If you want to actually stay somewhere for a while, consider places that are easy to visit -- Cancun, Bahamas or Aruba are all good choices.

I was going to suggest Montreal Canada in the spring. But, if you really are just looking for a diversion where you can see places that you haven't been before, go on a cruise. If you pick one where you are gone for more than 7 days, it might be something you would like. There are many different destinations, and all kinds of excursions and various things to do. Some cruises even have themes.

A bunch of my friends are going on a cruise in a few weeks. They are trying to talk me into going, but, I can't even afford a hotel room for one night, let alone go on a cruise. But, if you can afford to travel, I heard it is great fun.

I'm not sure you're right.  On a cruise, you get to see different places when the ship is docked - but often, you only have a day or even half a day in those places.  The rest of the time, you're eating shipboard food and sleeping every night in the same cabin.

Whereas when you go on a coach tour, you're checking into a new hotel every night.  You can choose to eat in the hotel or you can venture out to eat in a local restaurant and see the city by night.  You're eating in different places all the time and seeing the changing scenery from the bus window.

You could consider a group tour to see another country. I posted a hub on my experiences with Gap Adventures when I went to Mexico.
