I have one hub in a series that has maybe had 3 visits the whole time it has been there, and has always been rated in the 70's, now all of a sudden this morning, it's got a 91 and has more hits than any other hub. The only thing I can think of is that it's the time of year, people are starting to think about gardening, and fertilizing is important to them. Who knows. Anyway, I'm happy that lonely little hub is getting some attention!
I still wish I could get like 2,000 hits from Stumble like some of you have, but I am starting to get more hits from Stumble, so I guess it just takes awhile for people to find you there.
Hopefully, with spring around the corner, my gardening hubs will generate more interest.
Do any of you find that certain subjects do better at certain times of year?
I just published this hub on Friday and it got as many hits in one morning as my highest hit hub ever because of stumbleupon.

I can't explain it. I have listed others with not nearly the results. I think part of it is luck of the draw, if you get stumbled by the "right" stumbler or stumblers you get the boost, otherwise not.
My roast Turkey hub languished for a long time and then had hundreds of hits a day over thanksgiving and Christmas,
We are bewildered by a techie problem that we seem to be having with out computer or wireless router. 'Lesley & I are not tech savy' but this situation is really strange. For some unknown reason we are able to access any website we have wanted to bar 1 very important one. which I am able to access from a friend's or works computer. It has been going on now for weeks. We have discussed this problem with wireless router engineers, we have changed all kinds of settings, We have talked to engineers for the ISP provider but still no joy. We have currently left the situation where the router company have placed this problem to be researched into because we have tried all the known changes to make it work?
Has any hubber had anything similar? What did you do to get it to work?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I had almost 600 hits from Stumble in the first 24 hours. If you want more hits, you have to be a stumbler yourself and stumble other sites as well. I'm a regular stumble, it's quite addictive.
My hub with the most traffic is "How to Cook Pumpkin Seeds" -- http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Cook-Pumpkin-Seeds
But, it only gets a few visits a day now. In October and November, it was hopping like you can't believe. I expect it will get more traffic again when the season comes.
Seasonal hubs are good to have, but so are hubs that remain popular (or with steady traffic) all the time.
StumbleUpon probably won't provide quality traffic. If you search the forums for other StumbleUpon discussions, you will find a lot of information about it.

One of my hubs recently got a small flurry of hits from stumbleupon.com. Can someone tell me how and why that occurred on that hub -- and not on any other? Are you supposed to be signed up such groups to draw their readers?

If you haven't yet tried posting your HubPages articles to this site - you should do so today and see if it boosts your traffic - I've had great success with this over the last 2 days.

Are we now banned from there too? I get a lot of hits from Stumble lately, but I cannot bookmark a hub. I can bookmark other pages from other sites. Is there just a limit to how many pages you can bookmark there from one site?
