The message of the Lord to the desciples before he was finally taken up to Heaven was "go he into the world and preach the GoodNews". If you are a desciple and a follwer of Christ Jesus, can you kindly use this medium to tell the whole world the GoodNews?: The Gospel of Christ Jesus. Preach it here and Now.

It is so easy to preach the good news.,.. but my guess is there are more preachers than doers of the Word.. preach first in your Jerusalem, Judah Samaria, before you reach the ends of the Earth... Preach to your Family , reach out to your neighborhood, your town, city and country...the WWW could be your last stop. Try It smile Be Blessed!

Yes believers, do not stop the conflict, keep the "GoodNews" going until we're all peacefully lying in our graves.

If someone saved my life, I'd be grateful.
Plus, since someone saved my soul, I'm eternally grateful.

No one is saving anyone's "life" by telling them what's going to happen to them after they're dead. That makes no sense.

That's nice, considering souls don't even exist.

No one does, unless you're ready to explain exactly what a soul is, where it resides in the human body and how it interacts with us?

Animus... the correct word is animus. The ego, the id, the animus. It's all one thing, the only distinction is in the mind. None are separate from another, different people, same emotional content. What you would call God, is a representation of personal attitude(position).

Sorry, but I place little to no value on Carl Jung philosophies and coined definitions, especially when I can see for myself the evidence that there's a Creator and that mankind is composed of two separate genders.

The problem with religion is, that it leads to a form of insanity. Meher Baba called it "God crazy". While a good amount of religious people are harmless, it's the ruling few that are truly dangerous. To realize that God was never separate, free's one from the power of religious indoctrination. If one is told where to look, the singular path becomes obscure.

Eh, I know a LOT of Christian people who aren't insane! LOL.  I dunno about other religions; those may lead to insanity for all I know.
Why would you even make a blanket statement like that?
And even if it's the "ruling few" who are subject to "insanity", then....it seems to me it's more of an ego trip than insanity.  One implies there's responsibility, the other implies no responsibility.  Sounds like an "excuse trip" to me.
How would we ever realize that God is never separate, when in fact that's not so?
For instance, what traits of God does a human show?   Sometimes Love, yes.  Sometimes mercy.  Sometimes other traits.  But God is so much more than humans can be.  We aren't all-powerful.  We didn't form the earth or hang the moon and sun in the sky.  We didn't create animals out of nothing.  We don't control the seas and the other waters of the world to any degree like God can do.  We didn't make a man from the dust of the earth.
How do you figure we're inseparable from God?  Christians have God living in their hearts, yes.  But that's entirely separate from BEING God.

To say you follow Jesus, yet you don't follow the teachings. The first thing that he taught was that the body is the temple, not a building. The human body contains the mind and is very aware of it's self, humans are not. We are aware that we are here and we'd like to think that God is out there, without an awareness of something we can't quite grasp, there would be no God. We think of every way we can to please ourselve's and yet we think it's not what it is, an interperetation of upbringing and a social institution.

Actually, the first thing He taught was that He created the heaven and earth.

If we were God, there'd be no need for these "temples" (human bodies). And temples are places of worship, not places from which to worship ourselves!

Jesus was the only person in whom "dwelt the fullness of the Godhead bodily".
And even then, the Father was still in heaven.  Because Jesus was inseparable from the Creator.  We are not.
Is this so hard to understand?

If atheism isn't a religion, then why do the atheists come to religious forums to preach their brand of dogma?

        1. profile image0
Brenda Durhamposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Maybe because they also feel compelled to "preach", except they seem to want to convert us into the nothingness that they supposedly believe in.
But indeed I don't think atheism is a religion.  It's anti-religion. It's a negative thing that they'd want to claim the word "religion" as theirs.

As far as we are human God will always be the center of our life, believe it or not, man can not do without religion. Atheism is an improvise religion for the record.

Yet, societies function much better without religion. That can be observed in many theocratic states as opposed to ones that are secular.

I fail to see what's good about the news that the majority of human beings are inevitably going to hell. In fact the God of the Bible would be evil if even 1 human being ended up damned to the Lake of Fire for eternity.

Even Paul, a convert from Judaism, said I strive daily. It isn't about how perfect you are; before you can tell someone else the good news. The good news it that Jesus makes a change IN US daily. The good news is Jesus is offering us eternal life and peace after physical death. You do not have to die and then die. Those who believe they just die after death do not fully understand what happens. Take a chance - ask, seek and persist in searching for God through Jesus sacrifice. It could mean your life.

Thanks for speaking truth on the good news of JESUS!

Look man.. Religion is cool, it's when the denizens thereof lose touch with reality that it becomes a problem. Living with one's head in the clouds and damning all creation, really isn't all that it seems. If a majic sky fairy hasn't done anything that shouldn't have been done forever ago, then it probably isn't going to happen.
