   Rambler hybrid 4x4 diesel extended cab.
   
   If you are driving in the rust belt, chartreuse is the best color.

   Are you looking for an old truck, a new truck or what?
   
   I had some Toyota trucks I was real happy with.
   
   My son has a mid-90's Dodge Ram 4WD that is an awesome truck, other than the gas mileage.
   
   I was shopping for a brand new truck recently, and I like the Dodge Rams and Ford 150's, for the money. Decided not to buy one right now.

   I replaced my work truck a couple of years ago with a Ford.
   
   Not that it was falling apart or anything - it was just that after 22 years of driving the same Nissan pickup I was tired of it and wanted something different.

      Toyota or Nissan.  I like Nissan trucks personally...and the big US stuff if you can afford to run them.

         The best truck I ever owned personally was a gray, Chevy S-10.  Not much payload, and certainly not comparable to a big truck, but the thing lasted until Michigan winters finally rusted it to pieces.

   I don't care Old or New trucks. The best one I have seen is a 79 Ford truck.

   Hey wilderness, I had a little red pickup so old it was called a Datsun rather than a Nissan.
   
   That really brings back memories. Terrible in the winter but great for 4th of July parties when you got too drunk to drive home. Mattress in the back. I was into stargazing at that time.

      My neighbor had one.  We pulled the transmission 4 times before he finally decided the problem was the throw out bearing.  Too cheap to simply replace it as a matter of course the first time.

   My boyfriend has has nothing but Ford diesel 4x4's and he absolutely can't kill them no matter what he does.  We are up in Ontario and trucks rust but the 6.9 and 7.3 diesel engines outlast anything.  The only thing he's never had and wants is a cummins

   The truck that is driven five miles every week and is then kept in a temperature-controlled low humidity environment for the rest of the time.   The five mile drive is simply to raise funds for the time it can be molly-coddled under cover.  After it reaches about fifty years of age people will actually pay money to see it exhibited. When it reaches a hundred years of age, your grandchildren can sell it to a prestigious museum.  Kept long enough, it could become the 'Mona Lisa' of motor vehicles.   However,for the first forty-nine years you'll probably need to borrow money from the bank for garage rental.
