If you had to choose between friendship and love, what would you choose?

frienship . . . because it's best to love a friend than to love an enemy.

Without love, how can there be "Friendship"?

What kind of love? Puppy love? Friendship, hands down. Most types of love don't last, whereas friendship does. Which is why you should be friends with anyone you love, so when the love isn't there (you know, cause there's a screaming baby who won't let you sleep), then the friendship will sustain you until baby sleeps through the night.

      Hypothetically, of course. :p

We first become friends and then fall in love.

You seldom fall in love without friendship...
      Friendship falls first...Love happens gradually.....

      You can't actually choose......

Friends will come and go. Loves may also come and go. My true love is also my truest friend. I am hers also. Friends and lovers.

It seems as though they both go hand in hand in most cases.  It's hard to love someone who isn't "friendly" and it's nearly impossible not to somewhat love a true friend.

Assuming you speak of choosing between a friend and a lover, I would probably go for the lover because I'm just more inclined towards the one I love than any other friend.  This answer should be different for everyone depending on their own personal circumstances.

Assuming to choose between friends or lovers, I prefer friends. For me, lover is only one in my life (my husband)  and I can have many friends with love too, not lovers though.

I believe friendship can lead to love....but not always there is friendship among lovers.
