Hi everyone!
As the title suggests, I am quite new to HubPages, and I love to write (hence my application!). However, while I thought I wrote some quite interesting Hubs, they seem to be falling in popularity after only one day, so could anyone maybe give me some advice how to write good Hubs, or what I am doing wrong? I would greatly appreciate it! You can find my Hubs on my profile, so just click my name and you will be connected!
Thanks alot in advance,
Tim!
You are not alone in this drop in views I looked at my stats. page this morning and it is at least 400 views down on this time yesterday. Too early for me to guess why, it may be a seasonal thing with mine. If you like it here keep writing and when your new pages get traffic they may help the exsisting ones.
Someone else may be able to offer constructive advice rather than just the type of info. I have added here.
I suspect your "fall in popularity" is due to the fact that your hubs are not getting organic traffic from Google. You can actually check where your views come from under your account page.
So when you first publish a hub, it will be read by other hubbers on the hub hopper or by your followers. Also if you promote them on Facebook, tweet them etc. you will get your friends and followers to look at them. This gives you your initial traffic on the first day. However it doesn't last long, the people who will read your new hub have read it and they will move on. To keep getting people to read your hubs you need to get search engine traffic.
So it is not so much that your hubs are "falling in popularity" it is that the people who read them right after they are published are different from the people who read them months after they are published, and my suspicion is that you are not getting the second type of people. Getting Google to pay attention to you takes time, your account and hubs seem very new so there is nothing strange about the fact that G is not sending you traffic yet.
Getting Google to like you is different in some aspects from getting people to like you. Being a good writer is important ultimately, but you need to think about how your pages will be found by search engines, whether what you are writing about is popular enough while at the same time not having much competition, and apply some SEO to the page. There is a huge amount of advice about how to do this on the web and on hub pages. Some of it is very good, quite a lot of it is written by quacks, or out of date (SEO changes so it is safer to read new articles about it).

I have just started, so I dont expect it in the near future, but how many hubs, or how many months before you start making money? How much traffic is considered to be good traffic? Right now I am getting about an average of 75 hits per day on 4 hubs. Is that good? What...

I've posted several new hubs lately, and I guess I'd be doing even worst if I hadn't. Still, I find myself becoming depressed looking at my numbers. Maybe it is better for my mental health if I just don't look at my traffic for a while. If I take a little vacation, maybe it will all be good when I...

I already have a number of hubs moved to the Hubpages network sites, but haven't really seen a drastic traffic change in said hubs. So, is it worth the risk to submit one of my hubs that already receives a decent amount of daily views to a vertical site?I'd hate to see aforementioned hub drop in...

Why aren't my hubs getting any comments?Despite good traffic to my hubs, I just dont get that much in terms of comments. I believe the feedback from comments is very important in terms of editing and improving a hub. What should I do to get more. Thanks in advance

This is more for conversation than anything else. I also thought it would be good for me to get mine down in writing somewhere. I am not sure a forum counts, but here it is anyway. So, what are your goals here at Hubpages? Some that come to mind, and my answers are:1. Publish...
