Google Adsense - insufficient content?

   I've written 9 hubs, all are featured, Including 2 "Hub of the Day" and one "Rising Star" but have just been refused a Google Adsense account for "insufficient content".  All my hubs are over 1000 words....can anyone tell me where I am going wrong so I can correct and improve?  Thanks!

      Generally, we recommend having at least ten Hubs published; many find they aren't getting through until they have at least 20 high quality Hubs on their account.

         I'm surprised HubPages hasn't updated this advice, since there are sooooo many threads recently by Hubbers getting turned down with 10 Hubs - or even 20.

      Hi Daffodilsky. This question is asked over and over again and I wish Google would stop inviting new hubbers to join so quickly as it causes us all problems, I had a heck of a problem with it when I first joined HP and it took a lot of sorting out too. Best thing to do is wait a while longer, get more hubs out there and more readership and then try again. Best of luck later on

         I agree that the early 'invite' is hugely confusing.  When I started here, it was phrased almost like you weren't completely registered until you submitted that request.  And of course, with nothing much published (maybe two hubs) my first request didn't get approved.  There's no way I would have submitted it prematurely, had I known.
         
         After that, I sort of forgot about it for more than a month - kept writing, etc., and did a 30/30.  So it was approved quickly when I resubmitted.  Would have made more sense to have an auto-trigger at some number of hubs so you don't get rejected early on.  Although some people probably join HP with AdSense accounts already in effect.

      I was accepted after I had 33 hubs, all featured. I applied about five times before being accepted. Just keep writing high quality hubs, and keep reapplying. You'll be accepted eventually.

   I don't even pretend to begin to understand ad-sense, have not even applied myself yet. However, some on here have been saying that it is taking really long now for people out of the states to be accepted.  As well, as harder for everyone in general.  Best of luck though

   I'm with you. I got rejected for insufficient content as well.  I have written 9 as well, all featured, and one of my hubs gets around 50 organic views a day.  I guess we just keep grinding it out and assume that someday we will get approved.

   I also just recently got rejected for insufficient content as well and I already have 11 hubs that are all featured. I just published another hub now but it's still pending on being featured or not. I'd also like to know how many hubs we should publish to be approved. I do hope we all end up getting approved someday soon.

   You need more Hubs.  As Google does not give an exact number, I recommend new authors create several dozen, written over the space of at least several months.

   I have 25, all featured, and one rising star.  I just got rejected for the same reason.  I hear they want 35 now.

      I got approved for Adsense a couple weeks ago with 34 featured hubs 3 months after joining HubPages.  Good luck!

         That's great. Congratulations on your approval to AdSense. May I ask how many times you applied to AdSense? How many hubs did you have before you first applied? And did you also get rejected for insufficient content?

            Thanks!  I first applied with about 12 hubs after 1 month, but my application was rejected for insufficient content.  I decided to wait a couple months and try again.

      35 hubs? Really? That's a lot. May I ask where you heard that? And I would have thought 25 hubs should be more than enough. If you're still getting rejected with that much, then it looks like we all have many more hubs to write. I guess 10 isn't enough anymore.

   Ten hubs used to be the rule of thumb. Now, it seems many people are having to wait until they have about 20 or so hubs before they succeed with Adsense.

    If you look on the Google Adsense website and elsewhere on the Internet there is a lot of information on it. It says it is insufficient content.

    So you are in Wales, it does state that in some places it may take 6 months so that well it is their policy depending. I am not saying that is definite.

       That tends to apply to countries like India, as opposed to places like Wales.

    I only got approved after 36 Hubs (over 1250 words each) 5 weeks after joining. They tell you on Hubpages that you need at least 10 Hubs to apply, but it's really more like 20-30. Keep writing! You'll get there! I had to reapply six times before success.

       Congratulations on getting approved to AdSense. That's a lot of hubs and a lot of times that you had to re-apply. Looks like I've got a long way to go. By the way, when you re-applied to AdSense, did you re-apply via HubPages again or by going to the AdSense site?

    Wow!  AdSense has gotten strict.  When I joined HP two years ago, one Hub was enough to get AdSense approval.  No kidding.  Not sure why they are being so strict these days?  It's there loss, since their ads aren't shown as widely without additional accounts.  Hang in their and just write good Hubs, you'll get AdSense approval, which leads to making real money via the HubPages Ad Program.

    That's my situation too, though I do believe from all things I had read and our fellow hubber's said that it should be atleast 20 hubs, but today, it way I think 30-35 hubs to be accepted.

       I don't know, some people have reported having an Adsense account with 10 or so Hubs, but the majority of people are there with us at 30 to 40 Hubs before gaining acceptance. It seems to be the common practice to need to reapply several times before getting accepted. Good luck!

    Your profile is great and I have tried four times and 1.5 years before getting approved.  I will only say keep going and that is also in the same pace and attitude that your are now and keep reapplying every two months. You will surely get approved.

    I know this won't be the first time this has been said... but it will be the first time I have written it and read it on HP. Adsense, the bane of many a blogger, random and difficult to get into and easy to be kicked out of... why do we make the creators of Hubs jump through hoops to join, when HP could just take all the revenue from all the Hubs and distribute it on  tier scale, thus taking away the individual pain of everyone trying for the holy grail of Adsense...
    
    Just a thought from someone who has had an Adsense account..and lost that account because I had 200 hits one day (from where is anyones guess) compared to the daily average of 40, Big G deemed them low quality..and deleted my my account without any chance of appeal. Coincidentally, this came as I was 7 cents short of the payout threshold..and I had hosted Adsense ads on my website for just over a year without a problem.
    
    Just a thought.

       Tiers are one reason I refuse to write on Squidoo and am not a big fan of Zujava or the like. There are plenty of other places you can write for direct payment. If you're getting good traffic here, why don't you work on writing on direct pay sites on related topics and link your hubs to them to redirect traffic?

       Possibly because people who broke Adsense rules e.g. clicking on adverts or copying content from elsewhere could then cause HP to lose their Adsense account as a result, and then everyone would be in trouble.

          HP could easily monitor his type of clicking and immediately cancel any hubber who does this. Other sites don't have this issue. Everytime I see a Hubber legitimately attempt to get an adsense account and fail, I wonder, surely there is a better way..?

             I don't think HP can monitor that kind of clicking as only Adsense know if there are an unnatural amount of clicks being made all on the same Adsense Account. I can't think of any way HP could monitor this on a member by member basis unless there is something I am missing. All the other sites that I write on still need the individual writers to have their own Adsense accounts, e.g. Xobba, Thisisfreelance, Wizzley etc.

    I got rejected with over 30 hubs, although some of them were shorter. All over 500 words though. I am trying to write more, longer, and more media rich hubs before reapplying. I've also pulled some of the hubs I thought were weaker. I'll let you know if that helped. I am aiming for 40 before I reapply.
