Many of my hubs feature little kid's birthday party ideas and on most of them these are the kinds of ads I am seeing on the bottom of the page.  I don't think it looks great especially since they are way off topic.

Evolving Hub algorithms should take care of the problem.

Yes!  I've noticed this too, they're very off putting.  Especially if it's a hub revolved around children.

Janet21, some ads do feature in relation to latest searches made on a system; someone if not you, made a search that is related to kids birthday; may be your kid or something like that:)

Someone on my computer made the same searches then, because the exact same ads repeatedly appear on my Hubs.

That explanation has been suggested before, but these ads appear to be something different.

But just to be sure, I'm off to query my wife on why she keeps searching for steroid alternatives, sexy butts and criminal records.

LOL - I better go interrogate the hubby too because I see the same ads on some of my hubs that have absolutely nothing to do with these.  I saw it once on my hub about "what should Kindergarteners Know" - and thought "not that" wink

I have ad blockers on most of the time, except when updating around here, perhaps I better disable them and have a better look at what is showing up on my hubs routinely.

Advertisers can choose to show their ads on specific websites so I'd guess that is what's happening in this case.

If you're using adsense only then you can block the ads. I doubt you'll be able to do that if you're using HP ads.

The children's school ads I see at the top. I always see the other ones on the bottom of Hubs as "blend-ins" and I just skim over them now as if they were not there.

I just asked a forum question on this very topic.  Then, I noticed this one.  I am the only one who uses this computer and I certainly don't search for the kinds of things I am seeing in those ads.  Some of them are no better than soft porn and I want them removed.  Have any of you received a response from anyone on the HubPages team about this problem?  These ads are certainly not relevant to my content and I'm sure my readers find them as offensive as I do.  I hope they remove them.

Same here Tina. I am a computer user as well.  NO, I don't like those ads.

You can block the ads via your Google Adsense account if you have Adsense.  I blocked all fortune teller ads via the Allow and Block ads option.
