I just wondered if they were a legit company or not.. I ordered a gift card about 45 days ago and they keep telling me it takes 15 days to receive.

Barbara, I've ordered from them a few times and never had a problem. However I've never ordered physical goods through them, mostly restaurant deals that I was able to print out and bring to the restaurants, where they were always honored. So I think the company is legit. You might try contacting the company whose gift card it is. Some of the companies that partner with Groupon have FAQs on their sites about their deals, since it is the company and not Groupon that fulfills them. Hope that helps.

I've only ordered discounted tickets to local events that I could print from my computer.  I've never had a problem.  You should contact the vendor of the gift card.  The problem is with them, not Groupon.

I haven't ever ordered from them, but my daughter in law has.  I don't know about gift cards but her products have arrived in the projected time.  I think it depends on the individual vender.

Groupon is a sort of coupon deal Ebay.  They are fine but you have to vet the seller too.

Here in New York City, we've used Groupons several times with no issue, but if I remember correctly, I read they were having some financial problems about a year ago. Lots of competition from places like Scout Mob may have lessened their attraction.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I guess I'll have to contact the company that had the coupon. Can you believe, it is Shell gas!

Yes. Love the discounts. Some are better than others. Hmmmm. I didn't have to wait on a gift card. I just printed out the coupon and code. I suspose if you're giving someone a gift to use on groupon, you might have to wait for the card to arrive. I had to wait for a bookstore card to arrive as I didn't want to drive to the store and purchase one. I was being lazy.

My daughter-in-law- uses Groupon all the time in Nashville.  She hasn't had any problems that I know of.

I like Groupon and have ordered several things from them, but never physical products. You need to pay attention to the expiration date or you may miss using your Groupon. Even then if you do miss it, the vendor will still apply what you paid for the Groupon to their services which is great (you just won't get that special Groupon pricing though) Hope that helps.

It is for a gift card to Shell and has no expiration. At least I don't need to worry about that part.

I order from Groupon a lot. If you have a problem contact Groupon. I have had a few problems solved to my satisfaction.

The trouble is that I have emailed them 3 times now. I keep getting the same answer. Thanks though.
