Has anyone else noticed a dramatic decrease in traffic from Pinterest, especially those of you that get good traffic from them? It has always been my big source of traffic.
They have changed the way they do the feeds, and unfortunately it has affected my traffic from them, and not in a good way.
I have also noticed that some pins (either my own hubs or pins from other sources) that used to get repinned numerous times per day are no longer getting repinned at all.
Looks like they are really changing things up.
Traffic seems unaffected - it is still one of my best sources for traffic.
That's good to know sallybea. It's still my biggest source too, but much lower. I have always had lots of fluctuations, but this one is a biggie. Ah well, I just go with the flow.
How active are you on pinterest? I usually do what I call 5 mins of pins. I use 5 minutes every day to pin and repin stuff. Building my collection of pins and staying frequent to ensure that people pick up on my profile, hopefully have a snoop, and find some pins. I also repin the items every now and again- i delete the originals first to ensure I dont double pin, just to being the item back to the top of the pin board.
Don't get me wrong, I have still had a bit of a decrease in traffic from all sources, but I feel that staying active on the social media platforms helps a lot!
That's a great suggestion, sparkelyfinger! I am also experiencing a significant drop in Pinterest traffic. I've also been very busy lately and not pinning as much. I'll make a point of doing some pinning every day. I do delete and repin some of my hubs, especially if I find a better photo to use.
I get a lot of Pinterest traffic and have not noticed a decrease, a.though there are rushes and slowdowns now and then. When I get a slowdown, I spend some more time there just repinning other people's stuff. I don't add or change any of my current stuff.
This does increase my traffic but I'm not sure if it is because I contribute to the site or if my traffic would have increased on its own. It also might be because people see something I pinned, and look at my boards which already have my hubs pinned to them.
I noticed recently that you cannot view much on the site anymore unless you log in. Perhaps a lot of your Pinterest traffic came from people who liked to browse the site without an account.
I've noticed a dramatic decrease in everything the last 2 days. Down to very few views now. Puts me in a bad mood
(shrugs) I must be the only one here who's never had much luck with Pinterest... I stopped "pinning" my stuff there a long time ago cuz I wasn't getting any juice from it at all.
I still get e-mails from them fairly often telling me that so-and-so re-pinned something-or-other from me, but I guess none of those "re-pinners" ever click thru to the hub itself, cuz my traffic from there has never been better than negligible...
There is less activity now, which I attribute to people getting ready for Halloween. However, if this continues, you should probably contact customer support to see what's up.
Meh. At this point Pinterest is not even on my radar anymore. I haven't pinned anything in probably eight or nine months now.
Yes, but some of that is due to the switch from Squidoo to HubPages and I have not been as active on Pinterest the last month.

I truly don't get it. It's a whole lot of pretty pictures. How does posting our articles to pinterest get them read?

Flipboard is a bit like Pinterest, as far as I can tell. I get traffic from it occasionally and am wondering about trying it.

I know there's another active Pinterest thread out there, which is super helpful. I'm curious about people's ratio of pins to views. Are there certain pins you feel really push your traffic? Do you know what's the appeal of those certain pins?Thank you for reading this!

Does anyone get traffic from Pinterest anymore? Most of my traffic is from repins. I get virtually no traffic from pins I made in the last year and none of them have been repinned.
