In the editing process, I have found that Amazon capsules show up empty and then when I tried to add products, nothing would happen. I was using Firefox, so I tried it again on Explorer and did manage to get the products to show in the capsules, but after I clicked "done editing" they didn't show up on the page. I tried again, and some of them showed but not all. Then I decided to check on my laptop, and, sure enough they all show on my laptop. I just checked again today and the products are still NOT showing on either Firefox OR explorer on my desktop, but ARE showing on explorer on my laptop. I really wonder what causes this, and if they are showing on everyone else's desktops or not. Can someone please check into this and let me know. Thanks
James M Becher
In most cases, this is caused by ad-blocking software.

I would suggest removing any ad-blocking software as well as disabling or uninstalling any browser extensions as well. Then clear the browser cache and restart. That is likely to address the issue for Firefox. If you still are not seeing ads, please email us at team at hubpages dot com with the URL for the Hub and the specific product you are searching for (product code).
I have found that Adblocker hides the Amazon modules but not eBay modules on our hubs. I'm not sure why both can't be shown, since they're different kinds of "advertisements" than the other ads on our pages.
One thing Ad blocker does not block and that is text links
Thanks for the info. I do have adblocker, installed by Microsoft, and they tell me that removing it would cause other adds to come also and would slow down my computer, so I guess I'll let it be and use my laptop for final checks of my hubs. It brings up a question, though--I wonder how many people out there have adblocker or something similar, and are thus unable to see our ads.
An article on Forbes about 18 months ago quoted a PageFair report saying that "22.7% of web surfers are blocking ads" and the trend was on the fast rise at that time. I haven't seen more recent data. It would be interesting to know what the numbers are in 2015, now that ad-blocking software is more mainstream than it was in 2013.
Because of this, I started replacing some of my Amazon capsuals with eBay capsuals.
All you need to do is ask adblocker to permit ads to display when you are looking at your hubs so you can see them as a normal visitor would, it is a one click process.
But disabling your own adblocker for hubs is not going to help our readers to see (and purchase from) the Amazon capsules, sadly.
The 80% of readers without blockers, which are the reason this site still exists, will see them. When those people no longer exist we will all pack up and go home.

Why is it that excessive links to Amazon products seem to be permitted when they are added to the body of hub rather than as a Module on the side? In my naivety, I did not realise that this was permitted. Will these links survive when hubs are selected and moved to the niche sites?

I don't suppose I'm the only person wondering what happens if the machinations - automated or otherwise - lead to HubPages having a much REDUCED income stream from Amazon.Make no mistake - as Google Adsense income dives (which it has been doing consistently for months) - income from Amazon modules...

A number of my hubs are missing most of their amazon modules. What happened? I didn't remove them. I am a bit concerned about my hubs getting changed without my knowledge or consent. I write lesson plans for teachers and use amazon modules to post the books that will be used in the lesson plan, so...

I posted a new Hub this morning which included an Amazon capsule with 8 or 9 related items in it. However when I went back to look it over after publishing, the Amazon capsule was not showing up, there's just a blank space where it should be.When I went into "edit" mode I can see the...

Awhile back we were advised to remove all ads except for two or HP would come by later and do it for us. I dutifully removed all of my "extras", but am now continually seeing articles, some of them fairly new, with many, many ads. When I place ads on my hubs, I am...
