Despite Claims of Leftwing Media Bias, Trump's Muslim Attitudes Fascist

I thought, a couple of days back, that there was some truth to the story from the Right that there was a trip wire placed by 'so called' left wing media that unfairly traps Donald Trump, attributing to him statements and policy positions in regards to surveillance of Muslim groups here in the US, that he, in fact, did not say.

But, in fact, Trump either by omission or direct statements did set the tone for the accusations

As a good progressive, I should know that for the most part The Right is Always Wrong.  I should have known better than to believe anything from Fox news or the myriad of trashy on line rightwing blogs.

There are stories from the New York Times, Washington Post, and New Yorker, towering examples of journalistic excellence in one corner. And what stands in the other corner? Fox News...

I will provide the link for the story from the Guardian UK, and will provide upon request the WP and NYT stories that support my point here. They are a bit of a longer read.

This stuff is dangerous and this guy is a demogogue. With a little black shoe polish and a mustache he could pass for Charlie Chaplin's ' The Great Dictator' character. If the issues were no so serious, I would have a belly laugh or two, Trump is ridiculous!! Just look at him!

The Right has many other choices.  OMG - pick one.  They ragged on President Obama for having too little experience for the office.  Do they remember that argument?

I certainly do, Kathleen. Neither Carson nor Trump  have ANY political experience and that is not seen a liability from the standpoint of the Conservatives. That's odd.

Nice to see you again. Thanks for ringing in!!

I think the powers that be in the GOP have not bought into Trumps candidacy as they seem to be turning a blind eye to his antics until we get to the primaries and caucuses. Their preferred choice of Bush seems to be lagging farther behind more than anything. This reminds me of the Romney mess as the GOP elite did not like him but the masses trumped them in the primaries.

Yes, I think that the 'establishment' will have trouble mainstreaming a candidate like Trump and wish that he would just disappear.

Interesting, You think that Bush is the favored one? Bush is losing favor, who do you think is going to get 'ring' from the establishment.

I always thought that Romney was the GOP establishment's candidate. But he did not sufficently resonate with the conservative rank and file, always suspect resulting in tepid support.

Credence2 ~ There are Several Legitimate Reasons WHY Mutt Romney was Severely Beaten by President Obama in the last Election and here's just a few bullet points pertaining to Exactly WHY he didn't "Resonate" ~ Here's just a few of the REAL Reasons why he was Decisively Trounced ~

    * Mutt Romney EX-Patriated Millions of his Personal Funds to FOREIGN Accounts in an effort to Avoid, Circumvent & Some would argue EVADE Paying Taxes ~ To my knowledge & Memory, he NEVER Disclosed the Amount nor Location to the Public ~ This Un-Patriotic and potentially Unlawful Behavior ALONE should have DISQUALIFIED his candidacy, but wait, there's ACTUALLY More than this ~ sad

    * Mutt Pillaged America by Dis-Assembling A*M*E*R*I*C*A*N Companies, thereby leaving hundreds if not THOUSANDS of Un-Employed Individuals in his DUST ~ He NEVER tried to save companies, he was and still is I'd assume simply a Greedy Vulture, Preying on the Misfortunes of others ~ The most Despicable kind of Wall Street Swindler in existence ~ As CRAZY as Trump appears to be, at least he BUILDS Stuff & Employs Americans, Mutt does the EXACT Opposite ~

Many MORE reasons for his Failure, above I listed just 2 ~ He lost to a Black Man the first time around, a crushing defeat he'll probably never fully recover from, if he has the Gaull to try again, which I wouldn't doubt, there's a very good chance he'll GO Down to a Woman ~ lol, that would just be POETIC ~ Wanna' see Mutt JUMP from the Pinnacle of the Mormon Tabernacle Church?? Don't worry, if his Morman God dosen't save him, his Dirty Millions will CUSHION the Fall ~

Hey buddy, I see that you are pretty handy with that light saber of yours ever fighting the forces of ignorance and reaction!

yeah, Romney came off as a Thurston Howell type elitist. Speaking always about abiding by the law and castigating the hated 47 percent, while breaking it. The contradiction did not seem to register with him, but it did with the electorate.

Personalification of the ugliest image of capitalism run amok. Vulture is too kind, it more like a 'buzzard'. That's Mittwit for ya.

Considering that the Evangelicals consider Mormonism as a cult, they would vote "mooney' before acknowledging Obama as a Christian and a Black man.

Finally, the GOP won't give you a second bite at the apple, once you have been found as a 'washed up loser' in a contest that Carl Rove said should have been a 'slam dunk' for the GOP.

All the best and happy Turkey Day!!

    Mittwitt --------> smile

It's ASTOUNDING, 300 MILLION Citizens in the USA and the Absolute Best the republicans could do was to run Mutt Romney, the dumbest, most Anti~American, Un-Patriotic Wall Street Corporate Buzzard of a Tax Circumventor they could find ~ Incredible

Right now  the left in America HAS TO demonize Trump,   he is at the top of the polls , he is an outsider , and an extremely successful  ,independently rich , self financed candidate .   Apparently his resources are unending .    Imagine this guy up against Sanders and Clinton in debate .    Personally , I don't like him as a candidate  and wouldn't vote for him .  Except  against Clinton .

What America does need right now however , IS an Washington outsider  .

Alternative Prime , how uninformed  you are !  Mitt was beaten because and only because Obama was elected by using Howard  Deans  encapsulating the E- voting of the 18 to 28 year olds who know so little about reality ,except P.C.
