    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article 10 Best Aquarium Ornaments And Decorations For The Fish Tank. What can I do to improve? Thanks!

Your article seems very old one with comments 5 years ago.
I think the Amazon products are too many on it. All ten included. You may need to remove some of them, at least half of them. And, give some more narration about each product bringing forth its real importance and tell how to arrange it.

Thank you.  Yes, it has been a while since I have been active on HP and algorithms change.  I might need to delete this and start again to get over the old comments but it is an evergreen hub (the products are still available) and I feel reluctant to do this.

What would you do if you were in my position?

        Thanks smile

Why? I told you to elaborate it. Provide the salient features of each product for which reason you are recommending those products. You must state why it is important for you. And remove the Amazon links keeping only the images already there. Each product is having two images there. You should remove the image in the product link. And, keep product links only 5 instead of 10. You can retain the information for all products. But, Amazon buy-now button should be removed for at least 5 of them retaining only the more important five buttons. They may even say to keep only 3 buttons. But try with five.

    It's a good article.
I believe the Amazon products are the issue. They are too many. kinda looks promotional even though they relate to the title.
Also, hope the images r legal to use.
    Good luck.

Yes, the images are legal and it was originally written to help inspire people.

So, am I right in thinking that HP are starting to drop Amazon, at the end of the day this is supposed to be the top 10, not 5 or below.

On reflection, I really need to change my old thought behaviours based on yesteryear's SEO information,.

      Further comments are appreciated.

As an aquarium owner I got nothing from this article  You can get decorations in different shapes, you provide no reason why those 10 re better than the other million or so options.  Hubs now need to based recommendations on actual experience and I suspect you don't even have an aquarium?

      You  are my favorite Hixabrod.

Reference: "The story develops in the presence of a Hixabrod, an unerringly truthful species, settling a bet on a question of sentiment … with all-or-nothing stakes."

True, Psyche. I wanted to say that thing only but in a softer way in my above comment. I asked her to give some more explanation about its importance and how to arrange each one in a beautiful style.

I love the straight talker!  I had an aquarium 5 years ago - when this hub was created but, alas, not now.  I was trying to refresh this and use it as an experiment to update myself with how SEO is done these days.  So, with trial and error, comments from people like you, I can move on and become a better writer.

More comments like this please!  Thanks x

The thing is, I'm not an expert.  That is why the hub should teach me something.  The "best" decor would be about whether they float, injure fish, are easy to clean alga off, are good plant anchors, benefit water quality--or any other factor other than just the shape they have. These are the things you learn by using them.

Don't kid yourself... you are an expert!  I've seen your hubs!   None the less, you are right in your constructive criticism on my hub.  It was written a few years ago when SEO was very different and now I need to change!

    Meanwhile, re: Aquariums.

Never buy old aquariums. Dried seams break; will break and flood. Add that if you haven't already.big_smile

    I don't entirely agree with Venkatachari M.

As I said on another thread, my Basic Rules Hub explains exactly what the new Amazon rules are.  However, in a nutshell, they are:

    1. The products must be relevant to the title of your Hub.

    2.  You must say, either in the text or in the Amazon capsule, why you are recommending that particular make or model of the product.

    3.  You must couch that recommendation in personal terms (i.e. using "I" or "my" or "mine").  So for instance, instead of saying "Kids love this set", you'd need to say, "MY kids love this set".

Strictly speaking, HubPages says you must have personal experience of every product or book you recommend.  In practice, they can't prove it. wink

    This thread is informative  https://hubpages.com/community/forum/14 … cts?page=4

Marisa, Thanks for reading my reply. I agree with your advice. But, do you allow 10 amazon products for one single hub like this? And, there are two images for each product in it.

I would like to propose some more feedback like that the personal experience of the writer may be covering tips for maintaining a large aquarium or a good number of aquariums that accommodated so many varieties of ornaments during some duration of time to have tried more different types and found these ones to be more appealing and durable. And to include some more interesting or useful facts that can appeal to the readers.
