IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT GETTING GAY ADVERTISMENTS TAKEN OFF OF YOUR PAGE?

I have 2 hubs that the Ads you speak about show up on and the Hubs have nothing to do about someone being Gay. I would prefer the Ads at least be somewhat on target with the hub!

Probably because you haven't written hubs just yet so you could have them on yours, I guess...

I think these appear when its hubpages 40% of the ad time being displayed and their isn't really much you can do to prevent this.

Are the ads showing up only on recently published hubs? Sometimes it takes a little while for the Adsense bot to get the ads properly targeted.

On other hubs, it never really seems to, and there's nothing you (or HubPages) can do about it. It is possible to use the Competitive Ad Filter on Adsense to block some of them during your 60% of impressions, but they still might show up on HubPages's 40%. You're only allowed to block a limited number of ads, and if HubPages tried to block every ad that anyone ever found offensive or improperly targeted, they'd be doing nothing but.

Another option is to turn off ads completely on hubs that are non-commercial.

It never fails to surprise me just how ignorant some people still are in this enlightened day and age.

I reviewed your hubs this is the only hub that I found a gay ad on, <snipped link> at the bottom you have a news capsule and your title is Right-Wing Roundup in the capsule it contains news about Homosexuality. Google bases ads on keywords and the ads evolve around it. You can go into your google ad account adjusting your advertisements accordingly to the hub or you could change your news capsule looking for News that is irrelevant to the hub itself which is writing, keywords can change the advertisement well it has anyway for me. smile

THANK YOU AEVANS.  YOUR'S WAS THE ONLY TRULY INFORMATIVE RESPONSE I RECEIVED ON THIS SUBJECT. AND TO OTHERS SUCH AS JAYNE LANCER...IGNORANT?  I KNOW WHAT MY BIBLE SAYS ABOUT IT.  OR IS FREEDOM OF ONE'S SPIRITUAL FAITH NOT ALLOWED IN THIS COUNTRY?  IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO BELIEVE IN CHRIST...THAT IS YOUR FREEDOM TO DO SO.  BUT DON'T KNOCK OTHER PEOPLE'S BELIEFS.
