   Yes, Why do the superheros like Spidy, superman & batman wear their underwear over their trousers??...Unexplained...Explain it!

   They found this way of dressing was more practical and decorous for superhero activities like flying and climbing buildings, than wearing the kilts they used to have.

         Why don't the female superheros wear sexy undies over their pants??
         Wonderwoman would have looked better in a T-back, and batwoman would have looked great in a pair of skimpy leather panties...

            As a matter of fact, none of them wear pants, they all wear skin tight latex, including the guys!

   Cos they are super sized jocks and do not fit under all that tight latex. Plus it is easier for extracting their weapon in emergencies.

   It does make for better "Underoos" that way.  (I had one three-year-old who had a problem with putting clothes over his "Py-er Man" Underoos - at least until he discovered a tiny pair of ripped "Hulk" jeans he'd outgrown.  (There's nothing like a skinny three-year-old with gold-ringlet hair who thinks he Hulk for one solid year.) (In the Spiderman Underoos phase, however, Spiderman picked up a lot of toys to show just how much of a super-hero he was - a very good year, that Spiderman phase.)

    I hold to the theory that it is a method of distraction for those who would fall to its power. Maybe for the gay villian wondering if Superman really is the Man of "Steel" wink wink nudge nudge and if Batman is reall a "DarkKnight" hhmmmmmmmmmmm Those gay villians are rarely seen however because they surrender right away, dropping to their knees, putting their hands behind their heads in good fashion.

    According to (um  um ...) research!  Yes!  According to some very official and reputable research....    It appears these individuals, known as "Super Heroes", suffer from a recently identified, clinical, condition; which is a variation of Dyslexia, known as, "Clothes-exia".  While the cause is not known, and the prognosis for treatment is not promising; this condition has been determined to cause few difficulties in day-to-day functioning (with the exception, of course, of activities that would normally exclude underwear as acceptable attire).  Unfortunately for sufferers of this condition, attendance at formal weddings (but only formal weddings) and all funerals requiring somber attire is discouraged.

    They actually have undies on under their costumes as well. If saving the world takes longer than a day (and depending on the nastiness of the villain in question, it might), they just rotate them, thus eliminating the need to carry an overnight bag (along with with its detrimental affects on streamlining the various flights, climbs, and leaps and bounds that make up general superhero activity).

    Imagine yourself in the superhero's shoes..You were asleep or busy with something else..then out of nowhere you hear a distress call..It would be hard to think logically, right?

    They have something to hide.
    
    I think the film props department, no I mean costume department were handing out the clothes for the first super hero film.
    
    Someone noticed that the tights the hero was wearing made him look like he was in a film about ballerinas.
    
    Looking around the wardrobe department they found an item that matched the color of the heros outfit. Hence the first movie of a super hero had him dressed as we now know super heroes dress.
