   Is there an average number of page views that Hubbers receive in one day? What is a good number to shoot for when it comes to page views?

      There is no such thing as a good number, it all depends on what's good for you! If your planning on making money, the higher the number is usually better.

   That would depend on what one wants from their hubs.
   
   Currently I am up to about 1000-4000 page views per day for all of my hubs.
   
   I guess it would vary from person to person and also might have a lot to do with the quality of content.
   
   I have photo hubs that get on average 100-400 page views a day and others much less.
   
   But, then again, I still have a lot to learn about SEO and other things, like retail sales type formatting of hubs, so sales can be earned.
   
   Just my thoughts Cari.  Btw- nice to see you again, I haven't had the opportunity to see, since I did my Women Writer's Hub for Valentine's Day.
   
   So, with that said, I hope I find you doing well and you are smiling.

         Hello and Welcome to HubPages. I can give you a few things to go by, but does it mean you will be successful? Not really sure, if you or anyone else, can write any sort of content and make money doing it.
         
         However, I'll let you in a few things I have learned while being here at HubPages.
         
         (a) write quality content - about 800 words or more per hub.
         (b) learn SEO, such as keywords and others.
         (c) promotion and backlinks
         (d) remain active on HubPages, such as reading hubs, commenting on other people's hubs, take part in the forum(get yourself noticed), grant it- you won't earn money from HubPages members, but it is irrelevant if you earn from them, because they visit, driving up views(if they leave comments, then it helps with (b).

   Ha! I'm averaging about 30 per day. Which I'm actually pleased about because it has been slowly climbing.

   Page views are personal Cari. Some get less than 100, other ten times that number. Depends upon the content, who's searching for it, why and how many - then where you are in the SE's. Lots of factors.
   
   You can up the anti, by writing optimized content, but again, that's a personal thing. Some are here simply to write and share their creativity, their opinion, poetry and more.
   
   The answer is ... how long is a pice of string.
   
   However, if you're here to write and earn and your page views are fairly low, you'll have to look at your content, your target audience, how you've written and so on. You can improve on the odds of who reads, who doesn't.
   
   Phew. Not a good answer I guess, but an honest one

   I am three hubviews short of 20,000. (hint hint). My traffic is slowly climbing. I am at present at about 300 hubviews per day. I know that's not terribly exciting to those in the 1000s, but when I started 3 views per day was exciting.
   Traffic comes, slowly but surely, as time goes by.
   I am still in two minds about the benefits of backlinking. I have spent hours and hours (which I've hated) linking to the typical shetoldme type sites, and the traffic from these sites have been negligable. My better performing hubs have never been backlinked.
   This is a massive learning curve for me, and I suspect, many others too. I've tried to use the google adwords tool,and write about high paying subjects, other times I've just written about what interests me and to Hell with the keyword strategy.
   Most of my hubs don't make money...yet. But the ones that generate the most interest and higher-paying clicks are not coming from the higher paying keywords.
   So I'm still in the dark...but stumbling along.

   Each person is going to have their own average.  If you make a note of what you are seeing with you Hubs, then you can set goals and work to increase it.  Most often, just with time, you can see your web traffic grow.
   
   But as each person is writing about their own topics in their own way, many people are going to see different results and responses.  My Hubs are averaging around 6000-7000 views per day presently.
