Religion is dead…stepped over and left behind by educated thinkers…remaining remnants left standing continue to crumble as last of non-thinkers roll back into earth’s dust, water and atmosphere, non-thinkers heaven.  The truth hurts.

I am a little confused.  Wouldn't earth's dust, water and atmosphere be elements that "educated thinkers" believe in?  A "non thinkers" heaven would be with GOD wouldn't it?

I am told that the saved will walk on the ashes of the wicked. Is that what you are talking about?

It certainly is dead to those who want it dead. And it certainly is very much alive in those who want it alive.

"Educated" and "thinkers" include believers and non-believers.

It's not all one way or the other. It's more like dusk where light and dark intermingle and there is not fine line between absolute light and absolute dark.

Apparently I read in papers that more educated people are turning to religion each day. Haven't heard any news of the opposite though so far. Would love to see the individual statistics to identify and establish the trend

    LOL

Well, if you read it in the papers, it must be true. lol

More educated people are rejecting your ridiculous beliefs every day.

    Too bad huh?

What difference does it make to you if people are beginning to reject your irrational belief system? Do you not have a "personal relationship with god"? Lololollololo

Religion defies logic in many ways.  It makes no sense that it still exists in the Twenty-First century, and in light of all the education and advances in science.  At this time in man's evolution he is still not ready to stop relying on superstition for guidance.  Baffling!!!

WELL!  That's a statement guaranteed to get you a lot of feedback.  Can't wait to see what happens.  smile

But just a note, there is a difference in religion versus faith.  Which are you referencing?

I think my first sentence was the reference:  "Religion defies logic in many ways."

Superstition is a credulous belief or notion, not based on reason, knowledge, or experience. The word is often used pejoratively to refer to folk beliefs deemed irrational.

Agreed that 'religion' is to become dead and not practiced.

How ever, 'religion' MUST be revealed for what it is and for what it is not.

The simple fact that many people "believe" or have "faith", in a non-existent 'god', makes absolutely no logical sense.

Yes, faith- allows you to believe in whatever you want, but if you don't spend most of your life inside reality and more time in a non-reality place, then you're most likely to miss out on your life and it's meaning(a real purpose, which worshipping a 'god' is not a real purpose, because it's based on imaginary characters you've created in your mind.)

The 'way' you form your belief is due to a lack of knowledge and understanding you have on life itself. And, the FACT that you don't see it, is not much of a surprise.

    @ Valerie F.

You are correct - religion is NOT superstition.

Religion is a CORE belief which allows one to obtain or attain, "Enlightenment" and nothing more.

Enlightenment is Consciousness, to be one with oneself.

The thing that bothers most is that its not going away. Even in the 21'st century.

Voltaire- "Another century and there will not be a Bible on earth!"
This was written in the 1700's and he was a sharper fool than most in here.

Can't people just be spiritual, why do we have to keep wasting time with religion fourums - it's weird in this kind of community and everyone has there own beliefs so where does the need come from to announce it?  sad

I suppose its because many want it to die. Asking for the sky to fall in would be easier.

Sharper fool than most in here?

Are you basing your knowledge by what exactly? Your own interpretations? What else is new.

It only accounts for your lack of knowledge and doesn't do anything those who have an understanding of life.

If you're planning on calling people 'fools', be sure to look in the mirror for judgement of thyself.

Defensiveness from those who belief, to justify their own belief system.

They already have doubt, but they are trying to push that doubt out of the way, so they can believe themselves better than most.

When the truth remains- their individual attacks on those who don't believe, are damaging themselves without even realizing it.

A TRUE believer needs not defend their position.

Either way, none of them can argue from an offensive position, because their so-called 'facts' are illusions and nothing more.
