Should you get a ticket for not wearing a seat belt in the back seat?
I believe the officer was only looking out for her safety, to many times passengers are thrown from the backseats and killed which is quite sad.
With regards to school buses they are made comepletely differently and new busses have padding to protect the child from being badly injured. There are pros and cons to seat belts on a school bus I drove one for two years and could not imagine trying to unlock 84 seat belts to get children out should there ever have been an accident, all of them could not have survived. He only did the right thing by giving her a ticket your daughter's life is precious tell her to please buckle up the next time, just my opinion.
I say we all drive bumper cars dammit! Why doesn't anyone take me seriously on that?

((*bows in awe)))The "seat-belt" laws in the U.S. were purported by emotional people who were manipulated by the influences of advocate groups with their own agenda about carving/separating citizens, so more individual choice could be stripped away from people in general.
The "seat-belt" law is an invasion of a person's right to choose.
As for your daughter- the law stipulates anyone not wearing a seat-belt is to be fined, regardless of whether or not, it is their vehicle.
This ticket is not a criminal violation, but a civil one. However, it will count on insurance premiums and towards the use of licenses(should she get more violations), which can force the State government the ability to strip her of her ability to drive.

Driving a car is a ability taught. Either by parents or schools. There is no correlation between a seat-belt and one's ability to drive said vehicle.
Ridiculous? It's freedom. And, as far as, YOU suffering financially because of it, isn't due to the irresponsibility of people who don't wear their seat-belts, it is caused by the irresponsibility of those who drive, which causes accidents that drive up rates.
It isn't my duty to absolve you of any consequences? Nor, could I, should YOU do something wrong.
In case you didn't know- it is the people who have emotional attachments to dead family members, for which, advocate new laws to strip people of their individual freedom of choice.
When you get into a vehicle, it is a choice to drive it somewhere and it is a choice to wear a seat-belt. The seat-belt itself has NOTHING to do with one's ability to drive the vehicle.

The big question is HOW TO STOP them from forcing Us to live in a cocoon? When does enough interference into society become too much?

I dont know about a ticket...but if someone riding in my cars backseat fails to buckle up, then kills me with thier flying body in a car accident, I will haunt them.
If you ask me, no tickets should exist at all. If you caused any real harm to others, you are responsible for the damage - by court ruling. Otherwise you are free to do what you please.
Tell them winner takes all and the loser gets the firing squad!
