      This is the best place to be, very positive and rewarding even if you are not here for money. I am sharpening my skills here, following my passion  in life and enjoying it!! Money is welcome, but I am glad I am here!!

   I am not making money here, though I would not turn my back on it. I utilize this as a way to network with other writers, while honing my craft. I have not been here long, and have already made some great connections. I think to date this is one of the better public platforms for writers. There are some great Writers on here.  Cheers~

   I came here just to put my short stories somewhere, which I had written just for fun. This account is my 'real' one, so to speak - the 'real' me - and I wanted to use it only for fiction. So I opened another account where I could write on another subject to make money, and it does. Only problem is, I've run out of ideas of what to write with that identity. So, now, I've started working on this (my 'real') account again, writing both for money and fun.
   I think I'll keep it that way too, because being myself is certainly much more fun than writing under an identity/account that really isn't me.

   1. I enjoy it. Writing here is fun. I enjoy following the stats, numbers and milestones and attempt to keep climbing higher.
   2. Money. How could it not be a part of my motivation for being here?

   I do it for both.  I like to write and I like seeing the big Google deposits in my checking account each month... I make more money on Google here than anything else...

   If I have a passion for it.. I will do a great job with it. I love to write..I don't see that as a career for me because I'm all into the finance and business area.. so this is a great alternative for me. HubPages has provided me with the opportunity to make friends, learn lots..and even contribute my views.. Great to be here!
   
   The money aspect is nice as well, however, I'm not here for that
   
   There is tons more to HP than just AdSense!

   I have found Hubpages the best writing platform, for me to express myself and pass along knowledge and wisdom I've gained during the course of my life.
   
   Whatever earnings HubPages makes for me is good and welcomed. But, I'm still working learning the ropes of what's really needed to earn consistently online.

       Well, it seems like I'm in the minority as most people seem to be in it for the writing skills (at least those who've posted anyway). I'm about 90% in for the ad revenues, but do find it nice to just write for pleasure as well. I'm also hoping to blow-off some steam for some rude manners I received lately from some horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible (did I say that enough) drivers. HP may end up being a cheap form of therapy as well.

    You can write for fun and money here!  I do both and am enjoying it immensely!  The money keeps getting better as you learn more about what people are looking for!

       Never been published. Money isn't a motivator, or I'd starve. LOVE to write, but very spontaneous, as in "combustion" Think I have something to contribute, but am concerned about the preservation of my "intellectual property"
