Webanswers is a cool Q&A site that lets you earn Google Adsense income. Are there many people on Hubpages who also use Webanswers?
I earn between $60 and $150 a month there - and now I have a decent portfolio of over 2000 questions and answers only answer about 10 questions daily to maintain this.
If you want to join you can go directly to webanswers.com or you can join via my affiliate link on my profile - note- if you do I WILL get a small % revenue from your account....
My webanswers earnings have dropped dramatically this month. I used to earn well over $200 a month, but this month should be $150. I didnt realise they offer referral revenue though. Is this new?
Without sounding rude, how many questions do you have to answer or ask to earn that sort of money?
Vicki Simms: to start off you have to be very prolific - it probably takes a portfolio of about 1500+ answers to really see a decent income. The anwers must be well written and have good grammar. (There's a Quality Score that is used to determine how visible 'your' ads are on the site).
Once you've reached that level, it takes about 5-10 questions to maintain the same type of income - so perhaps 20 minutes work a day.
The other thing I should note is that there is a reall helpful community there who will assist you as much as they can - it's a fun and often addictive site!
Laura Marie: yes, the referalls started this week.
Hi SimeyC, thanks for this, I have just gone and signed up and linked my adsense account. Is it a good site to use then? and earn money?
I have an account there and pop in periodically to answer some questions, though I have nowhere near as big a portfolio as you. I like the site a lot and it pays pretty well, but I do get a little tired of the endless "am I pregnant" "how do I get him to pay child support/get out of paying child support" questions. My favorite sections on Yahoo Answers are entertainment, environment, and food, and Web Answers is a little weak on all of these areas.
I just signed up, thanks for the link. Do you only earn if your answer is chosen the best?
Yes and no. Somebody who visits more frequently can correct me if I'm wrong, but my memory is that the asker and all answerers get a percentage if a best answer hasn't been chosen. The higher your quality score, the more likely your ad is to be shown over others. Once a best answer is chosen, it's just the asker and the best answerer who get revenue.
Thanks for sharing Simey. I'll join in the next day or so, and am more than happy to do so through your link. Why don't you write a hub about getting started on WebAnswers?
From an outside view - I find this site coming up more frequently lately when I ask questions in google - the latest was how to get my US keyboard on a Chinese operating system to print the pound sterling sign. The answer did not work but previous answers all seemed to be on target for similar offbeat things.
Those of you who are making $100 to $200 a month, are you doing any link building to your awarded answers, or are you letting it all happen naturally?

And amazingly enough, I see earnings growing in my...

After a while, the lists got long and I decided I needed to keep each answer with...
