We will redirect to the new subdomain. The reason we are testing is because there can be positive and negative effects on traffic and earnings. We have data that suggests it's positive, that's why we are expanding the test to see data at a larger scale.
When will this start, and will the accounts that are used in the test be notified with more details?
We are aiming for the end of June to start the test. From there we will expand it. I'll talk with Deeds to see what we thing the best accounts for testing will be and then I'll email folks.
Indeed, this would be interesting, if yo still need volunteers count me in.
I think I'll watch and see others react first, I don't like the idea that backlinks might be broken
I'm willing to give it a shot, as long as I don't lose my backlinks
I'm willing to give it a try as well if you are willing to take new hubbers.
I am willing to join in the testing if you are interested. My traffic is almost no existant at the moment anyway.
Hey Paul,
While I have to agree with the contingency who is voting in favor of the "by topic" subdomains... go ahead and use my account, I really have nothing to lose in terms of traffic to my Hubs right now.
Since my summer unemployment season is upon me (public educator) I'm just starting a Three Hubs A Week Summer Challenge so...
if you want to include my account in the experiment, feel free!
When I first saw this forum thread I thought someone was trying to dress a Panda....?!
Most Panda's are fat so it might be difficult and they can get quite nasty
I used to own a Fiat Panda, the box one, that could of done with dressing up. Pimp my Panda lol!
I am also interested in this. Ready to cooperate when something is done for a better future.
I am new and have gone from 31 to 47 in a day on my hubscore and i would like to try everything i can to get more traffic and increase that score
Has anyone checked linkedin? it recently had an update on panda on how to stop the problems, recently creating content too fast can cause major problems, apprently panda has a range that says its good or just near spamming with content
Do you have a link to the article? Or is it really LinkedIn-only content?
Sounds interesting. But as my hubs are all over the place I can't see how this would benefit me. If someone has a profile and all the hubs are of a similar nature or are on a similar topic, that sounds good.
This makes me wish that I had several accounts for each niche.
I am looking forward to seeing if traffic increases for those who are willing to take the plunge.
Dolores, I agree with you. I've given this "test" thought over the last few days, and I can't see how it would benefit me, Sally's Trove not being a household word or even anything that anyone would put into a search.
I, too, am looking forward to learning about others' results.
well maybe sally's trove will soon be a household name, haha! you never know!
it was on linkedin's email that was sent out as a newsletter i think it was from search engine land?
In the spirit of helping HubPages who has helped me become a recognized writer, count me in!!!
We all need to help each other be better!
Please PICK ME!
I think my account would be perfect for testing.
I've been slapped hard by Panda. The vast majority of my hubs have commercial intent BUT I did not do any backlinking whatsoever. I was surfing the "HP domain authority" wave ...
Because of this, I think my account would be perfect for the test. My hubs' ranking only depend on HP's structure and inner-linking. It does not depend on the number of backlinks, a factor HP does not have control on and that plays a big part in Google's algorithm to rank pages.
I'm ready for a new series of hubs...
I hope you'll pick me. I'll be checking my mail!
Think I'll wait and see the results of the testing, but spruce up my hubs in the interim.
I will like to be a part of the test if you are still looking for people.
I am excited about the opportunity to be part of the test. Thank You!
