9 years ago, I had breast cancer.  Luckily, it wasn't serious, a lump that was removed after radiation.  I was diagnosed by a free mammogram I got from the Clicks for a Cure Breast Cancer program.  Now it's my turn to give back.

The Breast Cancer site is having a problem getting enough clicks through to their sponsors to give away free mammograms to underprivileged women.  Please, it only takes a minute, click on the link and then on the pink button.  You don't have to buy anything at all.

Thank you so much, Mark.  You have a big heart, and that's something few people recognize about you, but I do.  **hugs**

Like Mark has said, people will see what they want to see in others; it changes not what people really are, my friend.

Well said but I am not sure if I agree. I think some people may change as a result of how they are looked upon by others. If others treat you with hostility and distrust, it is difficult not to return in kind and ultimately become more hostile and distrustful. On the other hand if others always treat you with kindness, even the most grumpy person will have a hard time keeping up with his grumpiness smile

I think people are a mixture of good and bad, and they probably show different degrees of each to different people, at different times of the day, and based on the phases of the moon. smile

Amen to this!  I have my out of control moments, and some people on here think I'm crazy (which is better than being boring), but I don't care.  If one of 'em needed something tomorrow, and I could help, I would.  Mark's the same.

Thanks for the reminder, dafla! I don't remember to visit those sites as much as I should.

I also like FreeRice.com, which has a fun vocabulary game that donates 20 grains of rice to the UN World Food Program for every correct answer. They recently added other games too: art, languages, math, science, etc.

I wrote this poem last year around October. I posted it here with a link also to the breast cancer site. Dread If I recall correctly, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
