Google Analytics Tracking Code

    I am just doing some more setup today and the Google Tracking code for Google Analytics is not working.

    Google has a huge amount of code for the tracking code!

    I stripped out the 13 character code that HubPages wants and entered it, but got an error message from Google that the code was wrong.

    The entire code will not fit.

    I Google Analytics not working?

    Have you followed the instructions here? http://hubpages.com/faq/#analytics

    Make sure you're just inserting something that looks like UA-3678624863, nothing else.

    It can take up to 24 hours for Analytics to start receiving information.

      Thanks for the reply!

      It did take a little time, but it all set up and I have google analytics, now. The confusion is that it sends an error report when it probably should give a notice about the time delay.

      The only thing left is for the e-bay to go on line and then I am set up here.

      It is exactly what I did. Yet,  the robot from HunPages shows that there was a mistake and it suggests a different format for the eight numbers that follows UA- . Ex: UA-123456-7. Here lies the difference. My set number that follows UA- is a compact set of eight numbers.

        All people need to do is to wait, but you are right.

        The natural tendency is to see the error indicator, then keep trying again and again!
