Some of the best Hubs summarize research that we’ve done on subjects we’re really passionate about in a way that is interesting and useful to strangers. Many of my favorites come in the form of amazing recipes, such as livelonger’s latest masterpiece, but I also really love travel guides! Most vacations take a decent amount of research, so why not share it in Hub form?

What I propose we do for Weekly Topic Inspiration this week is create travel guides to our dream vacations or fun (perhaps romantic, in the name of V-day?) getaway ideas.

Here are some ideas for titles:
A Guide to the Perfect Weekend in ________
    Three Dreamy Southwest Vacations
    Spa Weekend
A Perfect (but Cheap!) Vacation in ________
Five Romantic Weekend Breaks to Consider in _______
Three Ideas for Fantastic Romantic Weekend Getaways
Brilliant Family Vacation Ideas for the Modern [Your Area Here] Family
Fun and Cheap Weekend Getaways in _______
    Fabulous Weekend Getaways from NYC
A Guide to Renting Villas in Tuscany
    Summer Vacation Ideas for ________
The Perfect Last Minute Vacation in ______
    Last Minute Vacation Ideas

If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:

    1)    Click here to visit this week's topic.
    2)    Click the green button "answer this question".
    3)    Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it."
    4)    Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens
    5)    Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before.
    6)    After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

For more information on the Weekly Topic Inspiration program, check out the Learning Center guide.

This should be a fun one!

Ah, this one will be much easier for me! In fact I had planned to do a couple of travel hubs very soon - so looks like very soon will be even sooner than I planned!

@ Simone, how did you know to do a travel WTI?

I just asked a question about travelling to SPAIN....my dream (literally) vacation destination. Spain wouldn't have been my first choice but ever since I dreamt it, I can't get it out of my head...lol

Hmm, not sure how I'll do at this one, but I'll give it a go, I think. I'm planning on covering interesting things to do in Ireland, even though I live on the Emrald Isle. My family and I usually tour the country rather than going abroad.

I appologise in advance for a lack of my own photographs. I'll try to make up for it in the written content.

    Thanks for the idea.

Simone Smithposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Those guides would be much appreciated by Yours, Truly! I've always been fascinated by Ireland and dream of visiting someday.
And no worries about a dearth of original photos- just stop by our useful using Creative Commons and public domain images and no doubt the Hubs you write shall look just as polished and awesome!

I'd love to write a hub or two on this WTI.  I'm buried in other work right now, but I have some great ideas and lots of original photos to use!  Looking forward to at least reading others' hubs for a virtual vacation!

Wow, this is like my favorite topic in the whole wide world! I'll TRY to get something out over the weekend. I have a Tuscan Villa one out that could use some work, so if I don't get to an entire new hub, I'll just revamp that one... as a more personal quest.

Thanks for the WTI, even if I won't be able to participate this week... some of these topics are great for future hubs. smile

    1. Simone Smith profile image87
Simone Smithposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Revamping is often just as good (or better) than starting something anew, so that sounds like a fabulous plan! If you do fix up that Tuscon Villa Hub, share it here!

A true DREAM vacation was when we went to Plitvice Lakes in Croatia.  It was worth every second of the planning that went into this vacation.  16 lakes connected by waterfalls, crystal clear water, ferry boat rides, awesome food, and great places to stay.  How much more wonderful could it get?  Check out my hub at the link below!

I have done a hub on a guide to the perfect weekend in Miami for a family. I did this because we have been planning to go on vacation to Miami for the last couple of years and finally this year, we decided we are going, but it will be over the Easter Weekend because the places we would like to live in are mostly booked. I hope you all enjoy reading this one!

I did not answer this from the question form, but it fits the topic.  We had the most fun camping and touring at Calaveras Big Trees State Park when my daughters were young:
