I'm finding this week's topic sadly ironic, considering I wanted desperately to blow my savings on a shiny i-pad. My parents voted the idea down quickly and lectured me on being frugal.

Also, frugal was one of the answers today in the NYT crossword. smile

You can show your parents how frugal you are by buying a Nook Tablet or Kindle Fire - not quite the same as the shiny i-Pad but still really cool! Just bought the Tablet myself!

Gonna write a hub based on why I chose the Nook instead of the iPad and link it to being Frugal!

This is based on the weekly topic inspiration: Frugal Living

It kind of evolved into a politics piece as I woke up this morning and decided to brush up on Reaganomics. This article aims to inform people why they must practice Frugal Romance, what a Frugal Romantic is, how to have a positive outlook about being a Frugal Romantic, why this means you are perhaps a Democrat, and as a women, what this means for your love life and attitude in general.

I hope people like it smile

It's called, "To Save Money, Figure Out The Difference Between 'Want' and 'Need'.

Oh man, I literally just published a money saving idea hub on Wednesday but had no idea it was a topic! I technically never made this hub through the "answer w/ a hub" option, so if it's supposed to count towards something it won't sad

Well anyhoo, here goes: My hub is meant for 20 somethings, but the ideas are universal.

I also wrote a hub awhile back about how to coupon without being a crazy couponer and wasting time out of your daily life:

That's a fabulous Hub! I love the "think yourself poor" tip.

February 2012 is my 10th year into retirement, and it is the best time of my life.  I am happy and grateful for what I have, including my inner circle of family and friends.

Arlene should be the poster child for retirement sitting in her Adirondack chair with her robe, fuzzy slippers, and laptop (of course).

k:  Too funny!  Love it!  Since Valentine's Day, I simply cannot stop making things!  Yes, one does see retirement differently.  I don't even get upset in traffic.  When someone cuts me off, I just smile and wave.  I'm no hurry to get to my destination.  I'll get there when I get there.

Thank you, Simone!  I'd better know something about retirement.  I've been at it for 10 years, and some of it wasn't all that peachy.  It took me 7 years to adjust to the fact that I wasn't going back to work.  DUH!  Others are fortunate to jump right in and enjoy it.  Of course, I'm the oddball on this one.  What else is new?  Ha!

I wrote about three wild green foods you can pick on a country walk and turn into wonderful meals, that will surely save on your family food bills - and make you feel well and happy because living frugally can mean a lot of fun.
Loved writing it.  Thanks for the inspiration.

Again, I deviated slightly from this week's topic inspiration. I hope it still falls under the frugal living category.

I wrote about How to Become a Millionaire - Tips from the Rich. I often read about success stories and I decided to share this fascination of mine to all of you. Here is the link to my hub http://cliffmendrez.hubpages.com/hub/Ho … naire-Tips
