My grandparents and parents were/and are very wise, they all taught me two things (amongst many others). If it sounds too good, it usually is AND listen to your Spirit (heart, intuition you might call it) and you will never go wrong! I don't believe he is telling us the truth!

Obama's address to Congress was outstanding. He made the case quite effectively for his health care proposals on practical and moral grounds. One of the political analysts characterized Obama's speech as the best address to a joint session of Congress that he had ever heard. The GOP congressmen didn't help themselves by sitting on their hands and scowling throughout. Congressman Joe Wilson from North Carolina didn't help either by shouting out "It's a lie" when Obama stated that illegal aliens would not be covered by the reform proposal. Neither did the GOP response by Birther Congressman Charles Boustany  from Louisiana.

I thought it was outstanding also. But people are so used to politicians lying that some don't want to believe.  A person can only do the best he or she can. It's to put it in motion that is the hardest because there are the greedy ones who figure they will lose money so of course they will try and put sticks in the wheel because keeping people angry and poor serves their purpose.

It always sounds great when a politician of either party appeals to the masses on an issue that is of importance.

The problem with this plan is they are trying to mandate coverage.  I'm all for making coverage available to everyone.  But I am against mandates.  The reason is simple.  There are still going to be people who must choose between Health Care and Rent, Food, Etc.

The "credits" are not money.  You will still have to pay or face fines or jail time if you do not.  Credits only apply at the end of the Year when you pay your taxes.

Can you imagine fining poor people because they do not have the money to pay?

Another problem with Mandates is this... and I see no one addressing this issue. Certain specialties in the United States have a shortage of Doctors.  These Doctors are in high demand and charge pretty much whatever they want.  So if you need one of these Doctors you have to pay to get in.  They do not take insurance.  So many Doctors in this position will simply opt to not take those on the Government Plans. This plan will not open the doors to these specialists.  So mandated coverage will be of no use to the people in this position.

And to say that a person can get coverage with a Pre Existing condition also sounds great. But the reality is that is not insurance that is budgeting.  That will drive the cost sky high.  Tax Payers will foot yet another bill.

I'm all for people getting help.  But the promises are never kept.  Where is the tax on those making above $250K?  O'bama like all politicians from both parties likes to talk the talk... but the walk almost never happens.

Rushing through a bill that does not have bipartisan support is very bad politics.  This will just create resentment and is bad for the general public.

It was amazing as is most of his speeches. Now hopefully he won't try so hard to please so many people. It is time for a change and we are in need of a major one.

It is simple, the man cannot be trusted.
