 I am a 53 year old woman living in California's Eastern Sierras.  While my only son left home a year ago, I have no time for empty nest syndrome-I have 6 dogs and cats as well as a husband to care for.

First and foremost, though, I am an recovering addict and alcoholic.  I have been clean and sober since June 24th, 2008.  

Writing here on HubPages gives me much needed focus and an opportunity for expression; this community is truly supportive and valued.
