Who has been your greatest inspiration?

When faced with trials, who has lifted you up to face the challenges?  Who is your greatest inspiration?

More than one person, to be honest.  My sister, who had been there for me when I was going through a crisis over an ex-boyfriend.  My former roommates, who had dealt with me when I was going through my mood swings and depression.  Then there's my mother, who she and I have developed a much closer relationship.  I have all these people to thank for these reasons.  smile

My father, I didn't realize it until I was getting older and then he passed much too early. He was the most decent, hard working and caring man I ever knew, he set the bar high and I will always remember him with love.

Jesus. I believe what He has done to save the world from themselves if only they would believe. I also have found immense peace by having this faith in Him. No one else has been able to do that for me.

My father was and still is my inspiration. He died 6 years ago.. but the lesson he taught me will guide me through life... whatever happens.. take it with a smile.

My mother, she is a very loving person and despite abuse from childhood and through her married life, she has been the face of love for my siblings and me. She used to say: love has no border.
Then my father taught me I could anything in this life whatever happens, that I could be anything too! He didn't go to school but motivates us to get a high education and accomplish ourselves as individual.
I love them dearly and work at being able to make them proud and satisfied for all the sacrifices they have been through.
Then, Jesus and Buddha came opening up my heart to love, faith and peace.

Jesus Christ above all and then, Mother Teresa and St. Francis of Assisi.  One thing in common? Selfless love and total self-giving.

God, my parents, and my wife. I cannot isolate these people because I know God also works through them to lift me up in times of despair.

I would have to say Jesus Christ, He inspires me to be better than I am. Also I would have to say my Grandmother, she thought me that I could be better than whatever situation I am going through.

I love watching inspirational movies myself, so I must say Rocky.  That movie was a great inspirational movie indeed, and I loved how he triumphed over his inner weaknesses, and self denial of possibly not becoming a champion.
His run up them steps to the top when he cheered himself on, was the best part for me.

My parents. They have always taught me to be faithful to oneself and honest in all the dealings or work. They have taught me to be aways strong and determined in any hardship or problems.

Indeed their teachings have paid me off , though my dad is no more but mum is still there as my mentor. I have learnt to be strong , hopeful and courageous all the difficult situations I had come across and am going through with one hope which never deters - That there is always a light at the end of the dark tunnel  and that after every passing storm there is always a calmness with a bright sunshine.

My brother is my greatest inspiration. He has never judged me. He has always lived in such a way as to be an example of integrity and honor, not just to me, but to others. His marvelous sense of humor has brightened many a sad day for me.

He has been through many trials in his life, but remains positive and manages to press on and do what needs to be done. Yes...my little brother has been my greatest inspiration.

I would say its been my dad. Dad is the reason being me being the man I am today. he was kinda tough but then when I look back, I can see all he wanted was best for me. Dad id my hero and was the greatest inspiration behind my success.

Mom. She has always been there for me with encouragement and a shoulder and an ear. She has taught me how to love unconditionally and not be judgmental. She has overcome cancer and is an inspiration.

I would have to say, "God" and then "Yehoshua of Nazareth."

After that, my late, earthly Dad... Rod Martin, Sr.

King David of Israel, Moses, Elijah, Gautama Siddhartha, the Dalai Lama, Rinpoche Gyaltsen, Lao Dzu, Albert Einstein, Walt Disney, Socrates, Nikola Tesla, George S. Patton, Henry Ford, Chuck Yeager, John Glenn, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and a whole lot more.
