   Let's see...Readers Digest Version
   
   Woman meets man who is everything that she swears she doesn't want but he ends up being everything she could ever want.
   Falls in love with him and his child.
   8 years later he spends 14 months in Iraq, both suffer from PTSD after he gets back.  Marriage and life falls apart, loss of home, etc..
   Woman moves across the country after the divorce and less than 2 years after the divorce, they start talking again, realize they are still deeply in love with one another, both have gone through a great deal of healing and growth.
   They decide to take it slow this time, Woman moves back to the home state, they are still taking it slow but happily ever after seems to be pretty close in sight.

   It was the first day of the first term of my first year at university, doing an LLB (bachelor degree, law). The first tutorial we had, I sat next to a rather nice boy, also experiencing his first day (etc!) of an LLB.
   
   Over the first year at university we became good friends. Very good friends - we really enjoyed each other's company, but weren't at all romantically involved.
   
   We moved in together at the start of our second year at uni, with two other flatmates. Then we started going out.
   
   13 years later, I think he's the most wonderful man in the world. He's gorgeous, fascinating, a man of integrity and passion. The room brightens up when he walks into it.

   One day, a couple of years ago, after a destructive relationship, I wondered: Who am I? What do I want?
   So began a beautiful love story, which continues and I think that will last forever:  with myself!
   I am not narcissistic or selfish.  I just think this is the first step towards the true love.

   I winked knowingly at him, and he wink back at the exact same time.
   
   It meant to be.
   
   A few rolls of tissue paper later, and the beginning of a life long bond had started
