Are christians trying to defame Inslam?

christianity is the biggest religion and Islam is second biggest. Recently Islam has started to become infamous of promoting terrorism. Is it a fact or a propaganda of Christans? Were christans afraid of Islam's popularity?

It's a fact that tiny but dangerous minorities within Islam have articulated religious justifications for horrible, violent crimes against innocent people.

And it's a fact that tiny but dangerous minorities within Christianity have seized on these words and acts to smear Islam as a whole.

Why assume, just because it isn't something anyone wants to hear that it is propaganda per say?  The fact remains that in most "christian" nations, especially here in the U.S. are not as devout as the followers of Islam. The churches can say what they will but there aren't many who would be willing to commit suicide, even dramatic self annihilating suicide because of it.  Islam is a sect of religion with a lot more faithful, especially in countries where it is practiced as a country.  My eyes are numb and it is hard for many that I know to comprehend the number of people who have been reported in world news to have blow themselves up due to this or that religious cause.  Such events are even broadcast as having happened on Al Jazzera. One could say that perhaps these are deranged people.  I have more faith in the Islamic blood then that.  Then there is the effect such actions have on the social standings of those left behind.  The trend wouldn't last long if it were shown to be a dishonorable act.

True Christians are not. True Christians welcome and embrace the diversity of others. Those who do otherwise are probably in need of intimate times with our Lord.

Muslims are doing a pretty good job of defaming their religion all by themselves.  The silence of the leadership of Islam - relative to the extremists amongst them - seems DEAFENING to me.....

Checkout the question. If the writer of the question doesn't even know how to spell Islam instead of spelling it Inslam, who is defaming it, Christians or the writer?

Are you ignorant of the fact the Osama Ben Laden a Muslim in the Islamic faith sanctioned and ordered the attack on the USA 9 11 2001?

Are you ignorant of the fact that Muslim Islamic terrorists proudly boast everytime that they strap a bomb to themselves or some vehicle and kill innocent people just for the sake of killing and then delcare in a loud voice that the do it in the name of Allah?

If you are aware of such facts than you are not ignorant simply stupid to attack Christians for the terrorist acts committed by Islamic Muslims.

Sadly, yes, there are people who call themselves Christians who defame - and even seek to destroy - Islam.

And sadly, there are people who call themselves Muslim who defame - and even seek to destroy - Christianity.

Yet the leaders of all the world's religions have gotten together and declared that war and killing in God's name or in the name of religion is never true religion. And many people of every faith, and even of no faith at all, are good and loving people.

Let us live in love, harm no one, and make our world a better place without making such an issue of what anyone else believes!

No, but I do think that Israel is trying to defame Islam in the Christians eyes. I don't know if it is true but I heard that no Jews went to work in the Twin Towers on 9/11. Israel is now certainly trying to stir things up between Iran and the US. The Bible may say that the promised land reaches to the Euthrates River but they should be patient and wait another couple of thousand years.

Christianity have been misinterpreted by the world.True Christians are not represented by the cross nor any symbol of material presentation.
It is a SPIRITUAL concept of character and image of personality.

Everyone that call themselves a Christian,is not a Christian. There are knowledge that are predestinated only to be known at this present time. It is time for Christianity to be separated from personal agenda.

The first of the 7 seals"The White Horse" concerns the reestablishment of the church along with other major presentations thereof which shall affect world population.

Even now,in a chosen few, examples of the image by which True Christians shall be recognized.
There are a spiritual image that, those who only believe don't and cannot obtain.
Believing is only the first step. Performance is a must in order to please God and be everything that He require of His children to be,which glorify the philosophy:
    "No cross....no crown".

Christianity is not a religion, its a way of life. Its not something you try on once a week to impress others or something you only celebrate on holidays. Don't confuse this with a fake Christian life style.

Either way, a Christian life is taught in the bible to be lived with respect and love for others no matter what. To respect what they believe in and not judge them for it.

Then again, more people base their Christian lives(NOT to be judgmental)on convenience or what they think is okay by their standards, not God's.. so I really can't speak for them, so I am speaking for myself...

No. People who live a Christian life are not.

Mr. Mathews...though I will accept that Islam has been misspelled by me but that is not knowingly, it is just an mistake (I apologize to people if they are hurt by this) and I had no intension to defame or insult Islam or Christanity. In fact these religions can not be insulted by a man like me because they are too great to be insulted. In the question as well I have used the word 'trying to defame'. The question should be open to everyone and people should have right to write what they think of this. I can accept emotional or impulsive answer from a common man but not from a writer who has the god's gift to think out of the box. Hope to get some more sensible answers.

I think every religion like to defame other religions. But Islam is targeted more because Muslims have mixed religions with state. They should separate these two things.

It is not Christians who are aligning Islam with terrorism, it is radical extremist Muslims.

I know plenty of really great Muslims, and they do not believe in the stuff these radicals do but it is the radicals and atrocities are the things getting on TV and in the news, because their really is nothing news worthy about a normal hard working guy no matter what religion he is.
