Do you believe the Bible is Exactly and Specifically what Jesus proclaimed ?
Yes, of course it is.
The problem is that Christ's message was not fully understood by His disciples in their own day, and even to this day, many of His followers cannot fully comprehend some of His teachings and this is one reason why there are so many "denominations" within the "Christian" church today.
The original disciples wanted to know the truth and were willing to die for it, but many churches and preachers today want to use Christ's Holy name to gain converts, but promote their own doctrines and agendas instead of the Word of God.
Consequently, many Christians are fed false doctrines and politically correct garbage instead of Biblical truth. This, then, gives the impression that Jesus did not know what He was talking about, because many "Christians" are confusing His message and arguing amongst themselves, thus failing Him.
No I do not, his teaching and what the bible teaches, although they do run parallel at times, are quite different in many aspects which would be quite difficult to sum up in this format. I'm not even sure you could do an adequate job with just one Hub article.
Suffice to say the Bible is a hodgepodge of stories collected together in one theme and Jesus teachings are the main spiritual influence to the overall story.
For instance Genesis is obviously borrowed from even more ancient text, the Zoroaster or Sumerian text which predates the Bible have the same story.
Yes, without a doubt.
Also, I agree with CJ Sledgehammer 100% line for line, and word for word.
His answer is correct and truthful.
(Excellent Question) ~ I pray that the correct answer is the one you will be accepting of.
Blessings!

Jesus is the Word, so in a word, yes. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."(John 1:1, 14)
Jesus is God, and I believe what God says is true. Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me." (John 14.1)
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23)
"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)
"...that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (John 5:23)
“Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM He, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)
"Then Jesus said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.' "(John 8:58)
"Jesus answered them, 'I and My Father are one.' Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, 'Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?' The Jews answered Him, saying, 'For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.' " (John 10:30-33)
"Jesus said to him, 'I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.' ” (John 14:6-7)

Why does it seem most Christians are immature. It seems most people professing to be Christian do not have a proper grounding in the scriptures. They drink the milk but do not seem to be able ( or maybe no desire?) to eat the real meat- understand the deeper things of God, in spite of the fact...

If you lived in the time of Jesus would you believe that He is the Messiah? Many Christians and Catholics profess their faith that Jesus is their Lord and savior. But what if you lived back then when there were no pastors and priests or the New Testament to guide you. Would you put your faith...

Why are so many "Christians" the fist to judge others, when the Bible tells us not to?Luke 6:37 "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:"

For Christians: Do any of you believe that God or Jesus "talks" specifically to anyone, be it...through dreams or visions? And do you believe that these "talks" could be interpreted as a prophecy of sorts? Doesn't the bible say something about prophets and visions, could someone...

How Does A Christian Know If They Are Saved Or Not?
by Julie Grimes 12 years ago
Has these titles, which are often used to describe Christ's relationship with God, been taken out of context? Or do you honestly believe that Jesus Christ is God's son? I wonder, can a person still be a Christian, and yet believe that Christ is not the son of God? What are your...
