Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your lifespan?
A question asked by Jesus.
Worrying takes away from our lifespan. Science has proven this to be true. Worry also takes away from the present moment. How can we enjoy the good things that have been given to us if we are in a constant state of worry?
Never! In fact, doctors and scientists are discovering what Jesus always knew: worrying and fretting SHORTENS a person's lifespan...
Worrying is human nature. Let us all try not to worry about all the small stuff. It really only causes more stress. A meditation or a walk in the park can offer much relief and renewal!
Certainly not! But, worrying is part of being human. It only becomes a problem when we worry as though we have no God.
Worry exposes our inabilities and insufficient faith or the lack thereof. Worry can therefore, sometimes be the fuel that magnifies our need for God's intervention in our situation.
That question asked by our Lord is to remind us of our need for total dependency on God as our ultimate provider, helper, and all-in-all.
Since we are physical and spiritual beings, worry can negatively effect both.
Something must change in the spiritual before it effects the physical.
Worry is a manifestation of not having faith in the midst of difficulty and hardship.
The answer is Jesus Christ will bring peace that supasses understanding when life can look perilous.
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. - Habbakuk 3:18
To worry too much is always going to be a fear appetizing pill, but to ignore its usefulness is to be likened to a goat that doesn’t sense the edge of a cliff. Without the conscious worry to be safe or to do better, we are pretty much doomed if we don’t?
It may be best to accept the duality of our reality then to try and control or deviate from what is possible or certain?

Do you have any techniques for dealing with worry?Do you worry a lot? Do you have techniques that you use to deal with times that you can't help but worry? As a side note: While making this question I wrote 'worry' at least twenty times and now it is starting to sound like a foreign word...hate it...
