Do you believe you can ever break out of the mold of God's plan, or is everything possible, or...

is it somehow the combination of both answers? Could it be everything possible happens, but God always already knew the resultant, since God is outside of time? Is it best not to worry about these things, since we can never know? What are your thoughts on the fate/free-will debate?

Everything is possible, but why would you want to veer away from God's perfect plan for your life, or even resist it.

If the world I see around me full of suffering, war and starving children is part of your great God's plan then show me the Exit !

Its not easy to say "Everything is possible"...Those who say that is either lacking intellect or never thought deeply on this issue.

Take a look at these issues first:

    1. Lets assume everything is possible...now what if I chose to Dominate God...Can I do that?

    2. You born as a Human, You die as a Human - Although you didnt chose to!...Now no matter how hard you try, your will to become the supreme God will never gonna happen!

    3. If God takes away light, then your only option is darkness...Your freewill wont impact the nature!

Freewill is collective in nature. The sum of all Individual freewill might have a definite impact on the destiny of mankind...however the individual freewill has very little or no impact at all!

Just ask yourself...How much control do you have in your life?

i just simplify it down to human size so i can get a picture, albeit prob'ly a very imperfect one. i think God, being outside time see's all of time with an eagles eye view so He has always known all that transpires on the plane of time. it is not possible for genuine love/relationship to happen between two "people" if one of them is pulling puppet strings or being manipulative. His idea for us has always been for us to be in relationship with Him so He would treat us the way anyone who wants a good, healthy relationship would treat someone they love. His "plan" does not force us into anything, or force us in a certain direction. His "plan" is always about how to love us, how to let us know that He loves us, teach us, guide us, as we are walking out the days of our lives so that we are always becoming more truly what we were originally intended to be regardless of what happens to us, what we do, what we don't do.
My problem with the tradition view of "Gods plan" is this:
Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. ~C.S. Lewis~
i agree with Lewis. God is not a tyrant. The traditional view of "Gods plan" makes Him one.
if thinking about this subject is for our own understanding and not just something to get into an arguement about then it's good. if it's to try to convince someone else they're wrong then it's not.

Proverbs 3:5 in the bible says: Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. That's something I've always tried to do. It is best not to worry about it. You will know someday, but that day is not today. Man is not who you should be asking these questions to. We obviously do not have the answer.

God has foreordained whatsoever comes to pass.
    There is no "Plan B".

Deut. 32:39 See now that I, I am He, and there is no god besides Me; it is I who puts to death and gives life. I have wounded, and it is I who heals; and there is no one who can deliver from My hand.

Ps. 148:8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling His word.

Ex. 4:11 And the Lord said to him [Moses], "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes him dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?"

Job 23:13-14 But He is unique and who can turn Him? And what His soul desires, that He does. For He performs what is appointed for me, and many such decrees are with Him.

1 Sam. 2:6-7 The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to Sheol and raises up. The Lord makes poor and rich; He brings low, He also exalts.

Ps. 103:19 The Lord has established His throne in the heavens; and His sovereignty rules over all.

Ps. 115:3 But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases.

118:22 The stone which the builders rejected [referring to Christ's crucifixion] has become the chief corner stone. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain.

Ps. 135:6 Whatever the Lord pleases, He does, in heaven and in earth, in seas and in all deeps.

Pr. 16:4 The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Pr. 16:9 The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.

Pr. 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.

Pr. 19:21 Many are the plans in a man's heart, but the counsel of the Lord will be established.

Pr. 20:24 Man's steps are ordained by the Lord; how then can man understand his way?

Pr. 21:1 The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes.

Pr. 21:31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord.

These are only the tip of the iceberg. I've tons and tons more, but this should be sufficient for any honest inquirer.
