Have you had experience of a ghost?

When I was a teenager a ghost of a young girl moved across my room. Recently I was in an Inn and left my drink on the bar when I went over to talk to someone. No one was near the glass when it flew off the bar and smashed on the floor! The bar staff said things like that had happened there before. Tell me of your experiences?

Thanks for your answers. I have wondered about it being a poltergeist but the first one wasn't because I saw her.

I have had many experiences, of what exactly, ghosts, demons, something else, I'm not sure. One experience that springs to mind was when we were staying in a hotel for the night on our way to cornwal. I was woken up by what I thought was my daughter singing. I said, "Thats a lovely song darling" and continued to lay in bed listening to her singing. Then I heard movement and singing out in the hallway. I asked my daughter, " How have you managed to get out of the travel cot? and I told her to get back into bed. I got out of bed and went to the hall way to go and get her and put her back to bed. She wasn't there, but she was still singing. I looked arond trying to find my daughter, then I saw her in the travel cot sound asleep. I dived back into bed and prayed all night.

A few years ago, I lived in a really old house. I woke in the middle of the night to see a ghost of a middle-aged man, dressed from a different era.  He had a big top hat with a few long feathers sticking out from it.  Other very strange things have happened over the years as well.  I am a firm believer in ghosts.  I try to keep my ghost stories to myself generally, because people either think I'm crazy or making it up!

When I was little, I was in my room playing with my toys innocently. Everyone else was taking a nap. Until a hand with a black glove popped out and dissapeared in my doorway. I am not sure to this day what it was.

I don't believe in ghosts, BUT I did have an interesting experience.  My family owns an old hotel that was built in the 1880's.  The hotel was built in the wild west, literally.  Several years ago, I went into the abandoned hotel.  I walked past one room and simply felt odd, strange.  After speaking to several people, each one of us stated the same thing about the same room.  A few years later, I found that the tree, a very old specimen that is outside the window of the room in question, was once used, many years ago, as one of the places that the town used to hang criminals.  I won't go into that room at night, and neither will my uncle.  He owns the building and actually grew up living in the building.  He won't even go in the building at night.  I never saw anything, but I felt something.  That's coming from somebody who doesn't believe in ghosts.  It was STRANGE.

When I was 7, my dad killed himself. About a month or so following that, I was laying in my bed one night, and a man was standing at the foot of my bed. He was wearing a suit, a hat, and holding a suitcase. It looked like he was crying, and waving at me.

When I had been married for a few years, I woke up in the middle of the night to see the dark figure of a woman walking around the bed to MY SIDE.  I had never seen a ghost and had no idea what to do.  So I pulled the covers over my head and didn't look out until morning.  I was freaked.  Haven't seen one since.

Yes, as a child, l heard a childs foot steps walk across the hard wood floor. when i looked there was no one there but i could still hear what sounded like little bare feet. ..this was 30 years ago in an old green house in the back woods of louisiana. there were many incidents like this in the time i lived there. the house has since been torn down, Thank God. Even to this day I swear that place was evil.

I have had about 3 different experiences with ghosts / spirits or whatever they're called. The strangest of all was when I was a young child & I strongly believed in the tooth fairy smile well a spirit came 2me n the form of a tooth fairy. She had the dress, wand & etc... the image appeared to be off white & fuzzy she had n her right hand the spirit of a little girl with a cute ponytail & she seemed happy. She spoke to me and we had a conversation to this day I can not remember what we spoke of or If it was even n English. My grandfather kept interrupting saying who ur talking to I went to his room & told him it was the tooth fairy. He didn't believe me cause they're not real when I returned she was gone never to be seen again.

Yes I do, but I believe in it in a different term then ghosts.  I believe we life in parallel worlds, all happening at the same time,  These world or deminstions are so thin just think about one piece of paper with each sheet just above the other, that is how close our deminstions are to each other.  Every now and them they bleed through.  We see them as ghosts, they are real and some times they can walk right through your house and you would never know it.  Some linger, getting lost but soon find their way home.  Love & Peace darski

I'm determined the apartment I live in has a ghost. On several occasions I will catch my twins starting at nothing laughing away, almost as though they're playing with someone. I've come out in the morning and found my cordless phone on the kitchen table when I know I made a point of putting it on the charger in the living room the night before.
Dishes will mysteriously drop on the floor. Toys have started up in the middle of the night. A couple of weeks ago my husband was positive he saw a ghost in here. Spooky to me but thus far nothing bad has happened so I just try to ignore it.

When I was five we moved into a new apartment and many strange things started happening. We'd hear approaching footsteps, odd noises and disturbances at the basement and car park. At night, you will just notice an unseen presence. One morning, we woke up and met the main entrance door neatly detached and placed against the wall without anything missing in the house and there was no noise whatsoever.

At a point, my parents were told that the house owner died by suicide only two week before we parked in. It was believed that his ghost has been haunting the house. The strange disturbances and feeling of an external presence never stopped for the 8 months we lived in the house.

At age 13 I woke up and saw my father standing by the door to my room, I called him several times but he did not respond. I screamed and then he showed up half asleep and wearing a different outfit..To this day I cannot make sense of that day.

My son will stop at the door to our guest room and talk to his aunt or  grandpa.  He'll stop at the door to the same room and say, "Hi, Aunt Carrie." He also came running from his room one day, laughing. He stopped and peeked around the corner back into his room then said "Chase me, grandpa." He'll lay in his bed before going to sleep and talk to someone but when we get close to the door, he gets quiet.

The thing is he never met these people. My son is 2-1/2. His Aunt Carrie was lost in a car accident 7 years ago. As for Grandpa, the only two men called Grandpa in our family were my wife's grandfathers. They both died over 40 years ago.

As long as he doesn't get hurt, I'll let it go. He'll probably out grow the innocence necessary to see these things.

I have had many but I think the best one, and my most scariest one was at a location called Skull Hollow. It is a small hollow near Melvin KY. I was called in to a house that used to belong to a man named Old Bill Johnson. The reason behind the call was a video some teens made inside for a school project. I had brought my usual team (http://www.dravenstarprt.com) At this time a fellow named Brandon was running tech for us. We were setting up a video webcam to monitor the living room area when the batteries on the laptop and my flashlights dropped. Suddenly the room was ice cold and there behind Brandon was a shadowy figure. I swear to you I am not lying. It walked into the bedroom and I quickly stood and capped one photo before my batteries were gone. If you are interested the link I posted will take you to my page and from there go to case files and check skull hollow and you can see the pic for yourself.

while visiting family in Mexico a group of us was attacked by spirits. My cousin Tony was driving and his friend Arnulfo was in the passenger seat. I was in the back seat between my sister (to my right) and Michelle (cousin to left). The cigarette in Arnulfos mouth flew underneath the floor mat. my sister started choking and Michelle started laughing. I hugged my sister and started invoking aztec gods. She said a man in a top hat did not like that. We went to Arnulfos house were his mom is a spiritist were they helped stop the "attack". I believe the man in the top hat was Tezcatlopoca because most of my invocations were to Quetzalcoatl. who knows.
