Is there a hand lotion that truly works well?

I am one to constantly wash my hands, so I need to find a really good hand lotion that actually heals, protects and softens my hands.  Do you know of one that truly works well?  Thank you for answering.

    Hi Faith  :-)

We have such cold temps here in the winter – especially this winter – which only exasperates my "dish hands."   I find that Gold Bond works the best as it does help to heal.   It may go on a tad bit thicker than other lotions, but it’s the best I’ve ever tried.

Thank you so much, dear Genna! Yes, I am at the point to needing healing of my poor hands. I will surely give Gold Bond a try. Hugs

I like the creamy petroleum lotions and lately I have been using Nivea skin firming Q10 and notice it is really nice on the hands, too. For a really good treatment when I am needing to use hot water for anything I put vaseline on my hands then rubber gloves and once you are done you have a super soft feel to your hands. The heat sends the softness really deep. Guess you could just sit with them in hot water if you don't want to do any work. lol I'm just a multi-tasker!

Wow, Jackie, that is awesome!  You know what, I am constantly doing so many things at once too, I forget to put on gloves, lol, so I believe that is my main problem!  Thanks, will try this too.

    Hi Faith
I just found a wonderful product called TATE natural miracle conditioner.  Amazing and good for you at the same time.  Wonderful product, I got it for my kids and we love it.  Hubby always washing hands at the hospital.
    Hugs

My daughter had really dry hands over this winter.  We use Aveeno products.  It has also helped with my son's exema in the past as well.

Hi Crafy, oh, yes, Aveeno products are really great.  I had forgotten about them.  When my children had chickenpox, we used Aveeno Oatmeal bath to soothe the dry itchy skin.  Thank you for the reminder!  Blessings, Faith Reaper

Palmer's cocoa butter lotion works really well.  So does making your own, if you don't mind spending a little time and like it on the thicker side...it is very simple.  If you'd like a recipe, let me know!

Hello sallieannluvslife,  Oh, yes, cocoa butter is always great too.  Wow, making one's own sounds awesome.  You should do a hub, if you have not already.  I will contact you about the recipe for sure!  Blessings

Can you make a hub about it so everyone can learn how to do it?

Yes, that is a great idea Grand Old Lady, to make a hub about it and we all can benefit from it!  I do hope sallieann does so!  Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Dear Friend Faith:  For years I have used Camille Beckman Hand Cream...the UNSCENTED.  It has worked for me better than ANY hand cream ever!  You can purchase it off Amazon, and some gift shops carry it, but I ALWAYS get the UNSCENTED, as the scented ones tend to be a little strong.
Maybe you should try each one of the suggestions on this page and then decide the 'winner?'  LOL  God bless you wonderful person.  smile  PS It is wonderful for your feet also.

Hey Faith Reaper! I am also constantly washing my hands and a lotion that works great for me is called Cetaphil DailyAdvance Lotion. The one that I use says ultra hydrating for dry, sensitive skin. It works great for me and is the only lotion I've found that prevents my hands from cracking. It isn't greasy and it doesn't have a fragrance in it which I find is a huge plus, especially if someone like you who is constantly washing their hands is using it, because I've noticed that lotions with fragrance become overbearing really fast. You can pick this up at any drugstore and it's around ten dollars for 16oz. Hope this helps and have a great day!

Hello VaVaBeautiful, Nice to meet you and I love your hubber name!  Thank you so much for answering.  The Cetaphil DailyAdvance Lotion sounds perfect, especially with it being fragrant free and at a good cost too!  I will see if I can find it here.
