Why is it important that people have the option to express themselves in a artistically way?
Want some opinions, directions (articles, books, anything - that may give a suggestion)
It is not important that people have the option to express themselves in an ARTISTIC way...that just happens to be the way some people prefer to express themselves. What IS important is that people DO have the option to express themselves. Why is it important? Don't you feel that it's important or vital in some way that you have the personal freedom to express yourself...whether you're expressing your emotions or personal opinion or whatever it may be? Just the fact that a person has the freedom to choose what books they read, what church they go to (if they go at all), what car they drive, what clothes they wear...these are ALL ways in which a person "expresses" themselves. Art is merely a different medium through which to do so.
Very important for those who do not have the gift of words to express themselves, very important for the emotionally disturbed for a release of confusing and sometimes dangerous thoughts.
It challenges the mind of the artist and the viewer, for some it has aesthetic appeal, others may like the symmetry or the impression.
Art means so many things to so many people and has been around since time immemorial.
Some are born just so creative they have to do it to survive, physically and emotionally and for some minimally financially and for others huge financial reward.
Funny about that
